Confirmed: Cotto Is In Las Vegas; Meeting With Mayweather Next?

There has been rumor/speculation/reporting the last few days that Miguel Cotto may meet with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.'s team in Las Vegas (where Mayweather lives) to discuss a possible May 2012 bout. Here are some links on the subject:

Now, it has been confirmed that Cotto is in Las Vegas as of Monday, December 12, 2011:

Only way the fight would happen is if Cotto leaves ARUM.

Another mismatch, Mayweather should only fight Martinez now or retire.

Still, though, as I said before: You are likely to only hear about a Cotto-Mayweather meeting if the fight comes off. If not, no reason to say the sides met.
