Did Hopkins V Dawson result get altered ?

After Hopkins found a excuse to quit.

 

If they could not overturn the Koreans decsion win over Roy Jones Jnr in the Olympic final 88 - then this decision has no case it all.

Besides - whats the issue for it being oveturned - it was a close tough fight that went the way of the American.

There is no case at all - 2 points deducted - thats what the ref adminstered - so thats what we have to accept happened - even if it did effect the end result.

The only issue here is Amir Khans "special boy" complex and his glib sense of entitlement that everything has to have him coming up smelling of roses and of success and glory.

It wont be overturned but if they kick up enough of a fuss the sanctioning bodies could call for an immidiate rematch, which is what they are looking for imo, getting that nailed down, Petersen is already saying "ah well er ill have a rematch if er my team think thats the best move" Its not "yes, there will be a rematch"

so i think team khan are trying to make it concrete, I mean if Petersen fights someone and loses or one of the belts gets stripped or something then it ****s amirs plans up.

 

On that subject, isnt there supposed to be some ruling for IBF i think? where you cant weigh over a certain % after the weigh-in, shouldnt that have affectedPeterson being a reported 15lbs over?

Not a chance and why should it? Can of worms opened if it does and you will have appeals after every close fight from now on.
