If it had been Khan who was the beneficiary we'd be hearing a very different story from most of the boxing media. Yes, the deductions were harsh but they weren't unfair.

    shuuuuuuuuuut up now Amir....

..there was a kid at school who used to make things up, i used to feel sorry for him because he wasn't the sharpest tool in the box..
anyway he used to say something that wasn't true and then spend the rest of the term making the lies bigger and more unbelievable becaause he had to try and justify himself..
..kind of reminds me of someone...:patsch

Whoever you think won the fight , Amir is well within is rights to complain. If rules are going to be applied to the letter against him then why not his opponent too? Peterson was constantly ducking his head below Khans waist to avoid getting hit from outside or in order to avoid shots on the way in. It could be argued that failure to penalize him for this had a bigger outcome on the course of the fight than Khans innocuous pushing.

Also Peterson was leading with his head. Maybe not in a overtly dangerous manner like ortiz but his plan was to get his head on Khans chest ..since when was pushing your head into the opponents chest legal? if rules are going to be applied to the letter apply them to both fighters.

I was in school with a guy called '4Hed' that did that, he really came across like he truly believed the crap he was saying and would do anything to justify his stories.

    A few of his stories included;

    - His dad was best friends with Alex Fergie.
    - He found a laptop in the river, brand new, top spec.
    - He caught a shark in the river.

The only time Peterson's head was below Khan's waist was when Amir pushed it down there.

All LP wanted to go was get in Khan's chest and get his shots off - this is a perfectly legitimate style of fighting. It just happens to be one which Khan is not equipped to deal with and so had to resort to pushing, pulling his opponent's head down or literally running backwards to get away.

He also claimed he was being butted all night, including one which caused a lot of damage to his ear - now this is nothing but a flat out, bare faced lie. It was his porous guard that's vulnerable to wide hooks that caused his ear to get ****ed up.

Khan is laying it on thick to the mainstream media who know nothing about boxing. It's at the point where it's exceeding exaggeration and is just being deception.

not true. Peterson's head was below waist height on numerous occasions without any interference from Khan. this was a ploy to avoid punches on the outside and when coming in also.

you should only be trying to touch your opponent with the gloves. didnt see a glove on petersons head.

That's one of the most annoying bits. I remember the exact punch that did it! He got smashed right on the ear by a big right hook. Can't remember the round but I might rewatch the whole fight just so I pinpoint it.

Well basically all the judges had Khan winning the fight without the deductions so he did ok for not being able to deal with it.

Erm, he had points deducted because he couldn't deal with it legally, which caused him to lose the fight. If he could deal with it he wouldnt have had the points deducted and would have won the fight.

You do know, since Lamont is the same height as Amir, that would have required him to bend so low he wouldn't have been able to walk forwards?

You are a tool. The point deductions were 100% fair, a little harsh, but entirely legitimate.

Erm, he had the points deducted cos the ref was a twat! it wasnt really a dirty fight that warranted 2 point deductions.

Just when he's starting to get some recognition on both sides of the atlantic for his skills, he gives people a reason to root against him in the future. I don't know who advises him on PR but i'm willing to bet it's a ****ing clueless hanger on who only has a job cos he's one of his mates or family. Anyone who knew what they were doing would have told him to congratulate Peterson and take it like a man, it might actually win him some fans!

He needs to just wind his neck in, train hard and win his titles back in the ring. It never did Lewis that much harm legacy wise to lose and then win back his titles in a rematch.
