Amir Khan hopeful of overturning Lamont Peterson decision

  1. Have a word with yourself.

There's undoubtedly a racist element amongst Khan's detractors but to tar everyone with the same brush is ridiculous.

Still, Amir can console himself that he's only the 3rd biggest **** in his family, after Haroon and Gaptooth.

Have a word with myself? Because I agree with the post below?

I've just read through GJA's posts. Nothing to me suggests that he hints racism whatsoever.

Of course, I don't really know why you're saying that, though.

yeah then maybe amere should learn to push like boxers do instead of the stupid playground push and complain.

you're lucky this was lamont peterson he was fighting a bradley or cotto would have opened up a gash the size of his mothers gash on his face.

    FFS,'racism' again?!?!

Funny that it only seems to be Khan that has racist detractors. Racists are so picky these days, it's only fighters with P akistani heritage that get victimised :deal

Black, Japanese, Algerian, Tukish...fine. But Amir Khan is the victim of subconscious bigotry :deal

There is a precedent for this: Haugen/Santana in an IBF Lightweight title fight in the late 80s.

Because of this (a case that rumbled on for 18 years), I suspect Amir Khan's people could get the fight overturned in the courts. I believe though a compromise will be arranged.

The fight goes down as a No Decision in the record books and the titles declared vacant. Then Amir and Peterson fight for the vacant IBF and possibly WBA crowns next year.

The only people talking about racism are the ones who randomly type in threads, didn't Khan family accuse of Rob McCracken of being racist, what has that got to do with this thread.

    :deal SO true.

Look how many detractors David Haye has, does anyone accuse them as being racist?

I'm glad Khan lost, you learn more from a loss than from victory. I also don't stop supporting a fighter for the silly comments they make after a fight. Thanks.

They are trying to force a IBF rematch being ordered, it would clear up the deal and Peterson will be forced into a rematch, or he will get stripped.

GJA/Laz - I was a Khan fan prior to last Saturday and I suppose I still am really, I won't suddenly stop enjoying his fights or wanting him to do well. I think he's totally out of order on this though. The lad is making himself look daft and I wish he'd accept his defeat like a man and get on with it. A split decision loss against a good fighter is hardly the end of the world and I don't see any injustice anywhere so why not just take it on the chin and move on?

He's got a rematch so he's got a chance to put it right properly if he feels hard done by. Concentrate on that and stop crying because this nonsense isn't helping anyone.

Not much point in telling me that. I've already echoed the same points.
