How Will the Froch-Ward Fight End?

I'm starting to lean towards Froch ... He has impressed me more and more ... so has Ward. It's a tough fight to predict but I'm gonna go with Froch. I think Froch will miss and get hit alot but I think he'll box well and apply pressure in the late rounds. Andre Ward isn't the second coming of RJJ ... his inability to take risks will hurt him in this fight because there would be close rounds that Froch will win because of his aggression. I think that they both fight at the same pace but Froch will control range with his long jab and low key ... Ward is strickly a left handed fighter ... his best punches are the jab and the left hook ... he masks them with his right hand (which has no power) ... he's kinda like Cotto but isn't as heavy handed. He's not going to knock Froch out ... he might be able to stop him late (because Ward is an effective body puncher) but I don't think Ward and his team can train for someone so awkward !! ... for the record I had Froch beating Kessler by 2 rounds.

 

I guarantee if Ward wins, it will end in a lot of American television screens getting spontaneously jizzed over.

TBH, I don't really like travelling to AC. If this weren't the most-anticipated fight of the tourney for me, I probably wouldn't be going. Be that as it is, it's my first time at Boardwalk Hall and I'm PUMPED!!

Not so sure of that.
Maybe here many are very vocal for their countryman.
But many of us in the USA, prefer the best amn to win in a good, clean, action-packed fight.
And many of us may not be too thrilled with Ward's style. Just as I think there are some/many Brits who don't care for Khan's style.

 

I should have said Nucky Johnson. The real life name of Nucky THompson in the TV show.
Just saw that he is buried in Egg Harbor Township, which is right nearby AC.
He lived to be 85. If show is accurate knew Dempsey.

 

Froch KO win by way off a Shoryuken style uppercut while he's down on the scorecards.

 

I'm rooting for Froch (not just due to nationality) I'm a fan of Ward too and will root for him in future fights. Andre is just a superior boxer to Carl and will be victorious in a clear decision

 

Ward will win very similar to the way he beat Kessler. I see Froch giving a valiant effort but getting stopped on cuts. Ward by TKO or wide margain UD

 

Ward 8-4 or 9-3, losing rounds only due to froch's aggresiveness. ward will be much more accurate

 

OK very specific prediction. That takes guts to go out on a limb.

Anyone know how Ward's stamina is?

I thought of Froch v Johnson. That Johnson was doing pretty good winning the first half, but then gassed.

If Froch gives away the first half, or is being beaten to the punch etc, does Ward have the stamina to keep it up for the full 12?

Froch wins by stoppage. You need far more power than Ward has to beat Froch. Froch will just walk through Ward's punches to deliver his own.
