Amir Khan hopeful of overturning Lamont Peterson decision

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by shaunster101, Dec 14, 2011.

  1. Probably because no other fighter has spent the entire fight shoving his opponent in clear view of the referee.

Other fighters like Hatton are obviously better at cheating/bending the rules than Khan.

Yep it's blatant what Khan was doing, not even subtle just blatant disregard for ref's command. Let's face it you ref say Football/Rugby/Boxing any sport i suppose and a player keeps doing what you asked him not to do. What do you do? penalize him. All this Peterson used his head stuff is garbage and Khan knows deep down it's bollocks. His ear is like that cos he was getting battered on it.

Fouling is fouling, cheating is cheating which ever way you look at it, Wlad cheats in the ring all the time, as soon as they get close he holds or pushes down on them.

No wonder Wlad likes to fight in Germany, Khan should do the same and only fight in the U.K

There is no respect for a young champion fighting away from home and testing himself, that ref was a player hating ****, end of

It's all well and good doing that but he never get the big fights he craves then would he. He went there to make a name but when you travel away you know what comes with the territory. Khan's not gonna stay here and fight he will stay exclusively in Vegas IMO.

To people saying Khan won by 5 points on one card with the deductions: Buffer read out 114-111 Khan, was that later changed or something?

One point Oli does make that has some significance; Lamont should appeal at the scorecard that had Amir up so wide (especially when you add on the points that were deducted)

That was the most crooked thing about the decision.

But the fact I am highlighting is Khan as a champion can easily stay in the U.K and defend his titles and still get paid nicely.

The fact he is doing it the hard way, he dont really need a baised ref in a tough fight away from home.

It was on his part a big mistake going to D.C now, its a stupid move from GBP also, now they are trying anything to get a rematch or have the decision over turned.

You are a complete clown. Amir has had the benefit of the doubt in fights where he should have been stopped - he was lucky to escape from Limond and Maidana. You don't bring that up.

Boo hop, a referee followed up on what he said against the spoilt, entitled champion. Khan needs to move on. He ignored the referee and he paid the price.

If he'd just done what he was told, he'd have been fine.

  9. I agree that cheating is cheating and fouling is fouling etc, and I don't condone it, whether it be Khan, Klitschko or anyone else.

But put yourself in the refs shoes, some fighters are much better at cheating and getting away with it, Khan obviously wasn't.

Look at Hatton vs Urango, he ought to have been disqualified for holding, but either the referee didn't spot it (surprising) or wasn't strong enough to act.

When I used to play rugby I was a master at stopping the tackled player releasing the ball, and making it appear that he was hanging on to the ball on the floor.
Everyone who has played any sport has cheated at some point, the key is finding a way to get away with it.

And if you get caught, don't cry to the world. Accept it and move on.

But that's not what Khan wants to do, Khan wants to be best around. Sitting it at home doesn't do any good mate seriously Calzaghe's career is hindered by it.

Yeah it was announced wrong, was actually 115-110. People complaining about point deductions but how dodgy is that card? Saying Khan won 9 rounds to 3 without the deductions :patsch
