how do you see this fight going? from what iv seen from danny garcia he dosnt impress me too much and i think morales could use his technique to take him apart but i do feel if it does go the twelve some dodgy judges scores may take place to be honest this fights a win win for de la hoya either he gets a new young rising fighter with a belt in a highly talented division or he sets up morales for another big fight against one of the other title holders
Experience over youth in this scenario ... many young fighters don't know how to blitz old champions and get them out of the way. I think the longer this fight goes on, the more it plays into Morales' favor. I also think that Morales thendency to fight back gives him an advantage and may discourage the young fighter down the stretch. Speed and relentlessness beats Morales ... or great boxing at a slow pace ... Ala Mayweather or hell, Zaheer Raheem.
i agree acutally garcias high workrate may actually be an advantage for morales he seems to need the push from the other fighter these days before he kicks into gear
I really hate this fight simply because I am a fan of both fighters. I knew this Garcia will be something along with other fighters from the Philly area (Jones, Lundy and a kid name Serrano). But I really hope Morales wins because I really wanna see JMM vs Morales. I have been dying for this fight for years.
I think its because he is older in a division he didn't fight in, he is fighting the fight he should by waiting for mistakes these younger stronger fighters make, just like small JMW Cotto boxes and can't be the aggressor in the division.
yeah could be but then again when you think about it and go back he did always fight at his opponents level but with that we got much better fights
Don't know much about Garcia but I would love to see Marquez v Morales ... and I would also like to see Morales v DeMarco ... just so that theres no dispute on who the best Mexican fighter of this generation is ...
Marquez gains nothing from beating a shot Morales. There will always be dispute as to who is the best mexican fighter of this generation. It's too late in the day for a Marquez/Morales fight.
Unless Morales shows up with nothing left, I think he finds a way to beat this guy and retain his belt. Should be interesting.

imho you guys are underestimating Garcia. He takes his time but he gets it done, he's an up and comer with serious talent, a bright future and the wrong fight for EM.
