By watching the fight with obstructed vision due to Amir Khan's virgin semen crusting up your eyelids.
113-112 for either man. One of those late rounds that was really close (rd 10 was it?) decided it on my card. In that round, Peterson landed more clean shots, but Khan actually hurt Peterson. Either man by a point or a draw is fine by me.
If that's the case, then it's a shame, because it certainly wasn't anything close to a robbery. It was a great, close fight in which either man could have won. Even though I thought Khan won more rounds, I can easily imagine those rounds going to Peterson instead.
You know what? That was half in jest when I started typing it up...but I stand fully by that accusation. Anybody wasting their breath on decrying Khan-Peterson as a robbery when they could still be allotting that time and energy into writing letters of grievance to the WBO, WBA, EBU, and Sauerland Event over the still-fresh wounds from December 3rd - is a full-monty BNP-voting, Skrewdriver-jamming, union-jack-tattoo-on-the-back-of-a-shaved-head racist. :deal
I don't see how you can call it a robbery when most people think the guy who won actually should have gotten the decision.
115-111 Khan - didn't even think it was a hard fight to score, only three rounds that could swing imo. Didn't think the referee was a bad as people say either, he just didn't take enough control over the fighters. Going to see Khan in the corner or pulling him a way when the action broke and formally warning him and then there would be no controvosy over the deductions. still wouldn't cry robbery, I can see why people liked Peterson's aggression but i personally thought he was too lazy with his punches in lots of the rounds. both fighters scored a lot of the gloves, back and shoulders as well.
Old thread, but I've been offline, so :conf... If I leave the sound on, give Khan every close round and gift Golden Boy with Cortez being in the ring, it's dead even. On a 10-point must with things being what they are, it's 115 to 112 for Peterson. HBO's camera angles were pretty awful, though, so I've no idea what my ringside score would have been.
:rofl:rofl The worst scoring I have seen from someone on a fight, on ESB, ever. Did you score Williams over Lara? Wouldn't surprise me from this.
My scoring's all messed up from 10-must with deductions added on top of it. My card without any outside nonsense is 114-113 Peterson. I'll have to check my notes, but I had Lara up by a large margin.
If you think that's the worst scoring on ESB, you haven't been around much. It's one of those fights where I'd have to be ringside to be happy at all with my card. Which fighter's game plan is in effect scores big with me. So does moving straight back without countering, complaining to the ref, and responding to landed punches by flurrying at someone's gloves for CompuBox's benefit. If the rounds were one minute shorter, Khan would be widely ahead on my cards.
115-112 is a horrendous score in favour of Peterson but you explained it as you didn't/dont know how scoring works.
