What's Vlad like as a bloke? He always came across like an evil manager cliche in the press........

Kats is Australia's version of Ricky Hatton. Its too late to change tactics now. When he gets hit, he will resort to his natural instincts.

You really cannot teach an old dog new tricks.

At least he's trying something new. Fenech may be an interesting choice.

Me thinks it's a 50/50 hit or miss, whereas staying with Smith he was over.

Wow. If you were hoping mick could do better under another trainer, forget it now. What an unusual and bizarre choice of team.

He's not getting the morales fight just yet. Eriv v young hot shot danny garcia is confirmed for january 28. Maybe gbp will get the winner to fight mick. Kats has no chance against either.

I personally dont want him to get the Morales fight.

Pad up the record a bit. Take on some semi-average fighters in the US. Get on a 4-5 winning streak. This will do 2 things. 1)This will built up some confidence and allow to 'practise' any new techniques or new plans/style of fighting. 2) put some greens next to his name on boxrec haha

    Then see from there.

Honestly the only 'easy' fight he took after he left oz, was back in oz in Lozada. Every other fighter has either been 'good' or 'very good'.

Alot of fighters, including Green, Darchynian etc have fought very good fighters, but have known to step back on one or two fights to ease up a little. Dont know why Katsidis thinks he needs to go really hard on every matchup?

    Few things with that...

Match him soft and you run the risk of losing to a no name at this stage of his career.

You cant build up/ improve worn out sluggers. Mick is what he is.

I doubt vlad and fenech are in this for anything but short term gain.

If he continues his association with goldenboy, they'l only be using mick for one of their other fighters.

If a bout against an ageing fighter , who is approx a decade past anywhere near his prime in Morales , is too difficult an assignment for Mick then he should 'hang up' the gloves right now ! As far as getting rid of Smith and stopping the garbage training in Thailand , well it's about ****ing time ! It's 5 years too late and the new dude's he's turning too are the wrong choice anyway . I guess it depends on who wanted him still after his last fight . It's a pity , a bit more luck and some smarter choices in regard's to trainer's then the kid could have made million's outta the game .

Fenech made his million off a stale Nelson fight, then the Birggs downfall so no more money for the rat :nono greed is not good.
