Again, it's sometimes hard to understand meanings in writing because we dont hear the tone of the voice and see the face of the person "talking to you". I didnt think you were patronising, I was just explaining with details so that people understand my point and undertand the meaning in my writing.
Lucian should not even consider moving up until he gets his shot at Ward and then winner of Kessler/Steiglitz. He has try to unify the division.
Pfff we all know you're a Bute hater.. (I don't even know what "patronising" means.. loll) Seriously, I think that's what badlok meant, and that's something I agree to. The only reason why Bute stayed in the SMW is because he wanted to "clean the division" by fighting the likes of Kessler, Ward, Froch at this weight. If he did move up in weight before he got at least one of those fights (and let's hope more than one), it would be like he "lost 2 years" since he could've gone to 175 2 years ago to fight the likes of Hopkins, Dawson, Pascal, Cloud instead of "tune ups while waiting for the S6 to end". I also could've answered "yes".
Bute fought the competition he fought because he didn't want to risk to go up to 175 and come back at 168 weight drained , i accept this because he want to prove his the best SMW but if he move right now without facing the S6 winner that mean he lost a couples of fights fighting his mandatory
I think 175 has been a graveyard division for a lot of talented fighters.I think he'd do well to hang around because I think the money's at 168 for a couple years yet.
I agree but it's getting better and better! With guys like Dawson, Pascal, Cloud (nice name ), Sillakh, and in a year or 2, Bute, Ward, Froch, Dirrell might move up. We'll be talking about a pretty solid weight division! :bbb Yeah I know we're too much alike .. loll As-tu des congés pendant le temps des fêtes?
Bute's trainer said in a newspaper this moring that he wants his fighter to face the winner of the super 6. The loser would still be ok. That's not news. He thinks Ward will humiliate Froch tomorrow. http://lejournaldemontreal.canoe.ca...ts/boxe/archives/2011/12/20111215-213107.html
To be sincere it puzzles me that Bute's team and even Bute himself picked a winner for this one. It ain't their style. It seemed to me that they WANT Ward to win. In one of their last interviews they specifically said something like "Froch doesn't want to fight us but Ward is a man of honor and will give Bute a shot". I think they might know something which we don't. From Ward's team or from Showtime. We have to trust Showtime. They paid Bute's team 3M for a fight with Brinkley and Glen on a 3 fights deal contract. The last one has to be something big.
Don't understand every Froch haters reasoning here, the man enters a tournament a heavy underdog, in a tournament with the likes of Kessler, Abraham, Dirrell and Ward in it. BUT he's afraid of Bute? I don't buy it...
I read today that Froch isn't interested in Bute and wants to move up after rematching Kessler. But I heard with my own ears a few weeks ago Froch saying Bute is definitely in his thoughts for after the S6. You never know what to believe nowadays. I think Froch will fight Bute before Ward and I think it's a better match up. Only thing that would change that is if Ward wins and wants to try and unify, but again, after what he's said this week, what can you believe?
Froch is not afraid. He may or may not want to face Bute for different reasons, that's all. His promoter may calculate the risk/reward though. We'll see how the fight goes.
