You're not helping yourself by citing Silva and Stann as examples of Sonnen's grappling prowess. Silva has shown that he's susceptible to strong shots. Stann has no ground game whatsoever. He's been helpless in all of his fights against wrestlers. His fight vs. Sonnen was made to purely to hype Sonnen/Silva 2.

The fact is that Sonnen has done nothing in his career (recent or past) against elite wrestlers to give the impression that he'd be able to go in and handle Jones.

having had a broken rib, it does matter...and knowing an injured silva with almost no mobility still subbed a roided up sonnen after taking 4 rounds of GnP...then seeing jones destroy the top comp at the weight class above sonnen's which is much deeper, shows me this discussion is silly

jones takes out chael round 1

The diagnosis of the injury is well-detailed in that documentary about Silva. Zuffa has also confirmed that they were made aware of the injury.

Nobody from JDS's or Cain's camps or the UFC publicly mentioned that they were injured in the lead up the Fox fight either. It's not a smart move to tip off your opponent when you're planning on fighting with a handicap.

    Thats your opinion

My opinion is this , IF CHAEL SONNEN BEATS MUNOZ AND SILVA CONSECUTIVELY HE WOULD QUALIFY AS A CREDIBLE OPPONENT FOR JON JONES , is that clear enough for you ???

Sonnen would kill him. Jk he wouldn't.

Jones needs to go up a weight division.

Why? Does it look like he's having trouble making weight or performing in the cage after his cut? Or is just that he's beating up everybody's favorite fighters?
