How did you score: Maidana Vs Kotelnik?

    I posted my scorecard for the Helenius/Chisora fight and it got some good comments so I thought i'd do another one. I just watched the Maidana Kotelnik and here is how I scored it.

    1 - MM
    1 - MM
    3 - MM
    4 - AK
    5 - MM
    6 - AK
    7 - Ak
    8 - MM
    9 - MM
    10 - AK
    11 - MM
    12 - MM
    116-112 for Maidana.

    It was a tough fight to score because the rounds were close and whenever Kotelnik landed a clean shot the crowd went mental and the crowd was silent whenever Maidana did some good work. So it was hard to remember some of the work Maidana did early in rounds. And a lot of Maidana's punches were blocked by Kotelnik. Also sometimes Kotelnik landed some decent punches but for me he got outworked in a lot of the rounds. A few of the rounds in there could have gone either way.

    I know the fight was a year or two ago but if you still remember how you scored the fight then let me know how you had it. Good and bad feedback welcome. Cheers.

    115-113 Maidana or 114-114 --> either is fine

    Fair enough but I found it hard to give Kotelnik some rounds when he was being largely outworked.

    Keep in mind that Marcos Maidana was the Universum-promoted fighter.

    I thought it was a very close fight, with Kotelnik winning 115-113 on ring generalship and cleaner landed punches. I was surprised he got the decision in Germany over a Universum-promoted fighter.

    it was years ago i watched it but i think i scored it 115-113 to kotelnik cos most of maidanas shots were caught on the gloves and arms but i have no problm with anyone who score it to maidana as he did outwork kotelnik through most of the fight

    i think i scored it 7-5 Kotelnik, Im suprised Kotelnik hasnt fought since Alexander though

    I've not watched it since it happened but I think I had it 114-114.

    It's a shame Kotelnik has been on the shelf so long. Immediately after Alexander, there was talk of him fighting Berto at 147 but I haven't heard anything since. If he does want to move up, I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Zaveck or Aydin. That could lead to a possible re-match with the Alexander-Maidana winner.

    Considering the Alexander verdict he's possibly fed up with the sport. Shocking decision!:twisted:
