    Promoter Gary Shaw successfully argued for a return bout between Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson during a Thursday hearing at the WBC's ongoing convention at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

    "I worked very, very hard on behalf of Chad to protect his rights. Now Hopkins has to fight us next as the mandatory. Justice has been served," said Shaw, from Las Vegas.

    "I brought up the fact that Hopkins fought to a draw with Pascal and that the WBC gave him an immediate rematch, and wasn't a champion. Chad then stepped aside and respected the WBC and respected their ruling," said Shaw. "Chad went on and fought someone else and waited. Then I told him that all that I wanted was for the same courtesy to be given to Chad Dawson that was given to Hopkins after he fought Pascal the first time."

    :yep
    I actually want this to happen. Will be interesting to see if HBO will take it.

    Interesting, but I doubt it will happen. Hopkins want no piece of Dawson and HBO want no piece of Hopkins (although he still have 1 fight with HBO in his contract, but I might be wrong..)

    They also ordered a Pascal-Sillakh for the mandatory spot.

    In all honesty Dawson deserves it after Hopkins shameful quit job and subsequent retention the title.

    Fat turd Gary Shaw was the same person who said 'we don't want the rematch, we've given up belts before' basically admitting they would rather vacate/be stripped of their titles then to fight Hopkins again now he's all for convinving the WBC to give them a shot :patsch

    Let's not forget Dawson himself said no to a rematch on multiple occasions (when he thought he had stolen a win via illegal takedown) but now he also wants the fight :nut

    Let's see what Hopkins said on his twitter a few days after the fight;

    And let's see what Hopkins said just yesterday about the sanctioned rematch;

    I'm never watching any Hopkins fight again
    Dawson won, end of
    After all the whining and complaining Hopkins managed to overturn the loss into an NC: absolutely disgusting

    If it was overturned how did Dawson win the fight?

    Also while we are on the subject of the fight, are you saying that the move Dawson used to "win" the fight was legal?

    frist Hopkins jumped on Dawson like a *** then he was faking an injury, refused to let the ringside doc look at his shoulder and refused to go on when the referee asked him.. so Hopkins quit, Dawson won.. couldn't agree more with edouardleniqueu. what a disgrace
