GSP has comprehensively outgrappled Fitch, Koscheck, Hughes at ww. Sonnen has not comprehensively outgrappled wrestlers as good as this at his weight. Okami, Marquhardt etc are not on this level.

I am not **** talking, what do you mean that he dropped Silva? He took him down sure, but did almost no damage to him which is why Silva was able to triangle him at the end. Working the top position should have a little more than the arm punches thrown by Sonnen in my point of view.

Jeez, am so glad I started this thread ha ha....I think Jones can reign as long as he wants too, but I can't help but feel that strikers have next to no chance with him...in all honesty I think he would take Anderson into deep waters within the championship distance...I really do think the best chance of beating him is an aggressive wrestler....I think hendo is too old and THAT fight took a lot out of him...randy is done...so chael is the one for the job....do I think he could win?...in all honesty, no....but I do think an explosive wrestler has the best chance....

I don't think Chael would have much of a chance, but I also would like to see him fight Bones, kind of for the same reasons as you, because I think he'd take the fight to Jones in a way hardly anyone else would even try to.

Rashad talks tough, but believe me, he is going to mentally and physically fold like a deckchair the first time Jones hits him or takes him down. That fight will be a wash-out of epic proportions.

This may be true but you can sense abit of un-easiness with Penn against Diaz during the walk in.

The thing about Chael is he just doesnt give a ****. Silva is the most feared fighter (due to the punishment he can inflict) and yet he calls him out like he's Silvas daddy.

It's tellin that we are debating someone who MIGHT give bones an interesting fight, not someone who might beat him....I honestly think its only certain hw would be favourites right now...and the kid is just 23... and nowhere near his prime...its gonna be a Helluva ride....

Jones said he took it easy on Rashad out of respect.

Regardless of what you believe you could or could not "sense" about Penn, where it matters is in the Octagon, and in that fight Penn took it to Diaz just like he takes it to everyone every time.

What i say , he dropped him

Thats when someone is hit with a strike and falls down :D

Your point of view ................. id love to watch an MMA bout through your eyes just so i could get an insight as to why you post what you do , i really would :deal

Sonnen punished him for 4 rounds on the ground and by and large on the feet , in the opening exchange of the fight Silva was rocked , Silva had a good round 3 but still spent most of it on his back eating shots , Sonnen was submitted because he switched off and got comfortable , as he was having everything all his own way and bang Anderson caught him with a triangle , because he's a black belt with long lims , not because Sonnen caused no damage

Anderson is/was almost universally accepted as the best mma fighter around...it looks he wants no part of Jones and nothing wrong with that...Jones is in another weight class and potentially another league..and Anderson is gettin old, fair bit of wear and tear...chael beat up Anderson for four and a half rounds ( I actually think this fight should enhance Anderson reputation not discredit it...)...anyhow, from where I sit, if sonnen is willing to move up he perhaps has the best credentials for a fight with bones, particularly if he shines in his next fight...he isn't the man who beat the man...but if the man isn't willing to move up, the man who beat up the man is surely the next best thing....
