Bahktin Promoter interested in Rigondeaux

    From the scene. Interesting, they have scrapped their Dec 25 card for a chance of a showdown with Rigondeaux. Rigondeaux is still negotiating with Ramos however.

    No Russian/Cuban fans? Bahktin is a very good fighter and Rigondeaux is of course Rigondeaux. Should be a very good fight.

    Never heard of Bahktin, you say he's Russian. What's his record?

    Good little fighter, was a KO puncher in the amateurs but broke his hand and became more of a boxer in the amateurs. Stranded in Japan for a while but is now making his business in Russia.

    Very good record, although I don't see a noteworthy opponents. I imagine he has a very decent amateur background, being Russian. I'll keep an eye out for this kid. Thanks

    Just to add, he's one of the Alex Zimin fighters (there was a handful of them over the last 20 years) who turned professional in Japan after having been very amateurs (Nazarov and Arbachakov are the other two that jump out).
