I don't think Froch will land any hard shots flush because he's too slow and doesn't throw concisely enough to fight Ward on the outside where he's at his best. Instead, Ward will establish a jab, potshot him with lunging lead rights followed by headbutts, and then he'll tie him up, rinse, and repeat. If Froch lands solidly, however, I think he'll hurt him and possibly finish. All signs point to Ward's Chin being abysmal.

Froch the more likely to score knockdowns or ko. Harder punch and is very tough, can take a shot. However Ward is not afraid to stand and trade punches if he has to

Froch has tendency to drop his hands and Ward is quick with the straight right

Lots of fascinating scenarios to this fight

On the contrary, denier. The Chincheckers are LEGION. It must kill you glass jaw deniers to admit it, but awareness of the importance of punch resistance in boxing is growing! And I am PROUD of the role I have played in increasing that awareness, despite what you deniers and blind fanboys say!

Zak, why did you pick Ward UD if you think he has such a bad chin?

the only ones questioning his chin are the "chincheckers" numbskulls themselves...

does it matter, if someone even does have a less than average chin, but still succeed vs a powerful puncher? If it then does not matter, does "chin-checkers" even have much validity, considering they make their decisions wholly on their speculative view on one's chin?

Yeah... a pretty moronic and short-sighted group (imo, they're a rogue off-shoots of the *******s/*****s idgits)

Good question! One I suspected you might inquire about. It's pure strategy. I am in a tight battle for a top 5 slot, and since most are picking Ward, even if he loses, I will maintain my position most likely. However, if I pick Froch, and Ward is able to successful protect that suspect chin through holding, butting and some of his other roughhouse tactics, then I would be in big trouble.

Earlier in the year I would have done it. Not now. But I do believe that it is highly likely that Froch will stop him late.

I am one of the founder members of the TEAM ELITE CORPORATION, the most powerfull team of boxing experts in the entire universe. I have no connection with the chincheckers at all, but at the team elite headquarters we have analysed the chincheckers at great detail and we concluded that they are right - glass jaws exist in boxing and these chincheckers are experts in study of punch resistance - when these fella's talk, the world stops and listens :deal

on the other DudeGayMan, you obviously know nothing about boxing which can be accurately concluded from your revolting vcash total of just 75 :-:)-:)-(

so take your vile welfare vcash handout of 75 and **** off out of this thread. go and talk about something you know about . . . . . . . . . like sucking your own fart sauce off a ladyboys **** :-:)patsch

you think it's "highly likely" that Froch wins by KO, but you picked Ward to win by UD. Which means you think the most likely outcome is Ward by UD. Which means you think it's "highly likely" that Ward wins by UD.

    ivory tower?

I believe there are glass jaws of course but to be honest you guys pick guys to KO guys who have no shot in hell of KOing the guy just because he has a glass jaw

When a glass jaw faces a puncher with boxing ability to deliver his punch then I'd say its a KO waiting to happen

but if a Glass jaw guy is facing a feather fisted guy or a brawler incapable of delivering his shot the glass jaw guy will win

as far as Ward he doesnt have a glass jaw in my eyes, he withstood Miranda and Abraham and Green and Bika all guys who have above average KO power

Froch is an accumulation puncher and for him to KO Ward means sustained damage over a long fight, I dont think Froch is gonna get to him enough to wear him down enough to stop him

and people who criticize Froch for only KOing Taylor recently

Froch has fought solid chinned guys like Kessler and Johnson and Abraham, Abe and Johnson also keep a high guard making them tough to hit

Plus Johnson and Abe were tough punchers that had Frochs respect and he was patient I dont think Ward has the power to catch Froch's attention though his timing and precision could equate to power and thus keep Froch off

Neither Froch or Ward are punchers, as a matter of fact they're far from notorious punchers. Not only does Froch lack the knockout power at this weight, but he's remarkably slow for the division.

I think speed will be the key factor for Ward outboxing and getting to Froch. The only outcome I entertain here is Ward by decision, I honestly don't see how Carl Froch can get close to stopping him, not even remotely close.

Had Ward been a puncher, it's a pretty safe bet to say he'd have knocked out Allan "defenseless" Green. Had Froch been a puncher, he'd have produced at least a knockout over a legitimate super middleweight in the past years.
