Pacquiao: Mayweather wants $100 million; that’s why the fight hasn’t happened

    Manny Pacquiao sees the reason for his mega fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. not happening because Mayweather wants too much money. Pacquiao says Mayweather wants $100 million for the fight, and he sees this as a major reason why the two fighters haven’t set foot in the ring to fight.

    **** man Pac's such a bit. I think the way to translate that statement is that in a 300 million dollar fight Mayweather doesn't want to split half the money with an 80 year old New York Lawyer who isn't really doing **** all. There's 100 million dollars on the table for both these guys, it just doesn't involve giving 30% of it to Arum.

    Apparently Pac is supposed to anounce who he's fighting next today, cause its his birthday. Somehow I don't think May would let Pac call a unilateral press conference to anounce a fight. SO guess what guys this guy is sticking his tail between his legs and running the otherway again.

    It doesn't matter what Arum gets, he gets a % of Pacquiao's purse regardless of what it is and it's taken out after the fight so it should have no effect on the split

    Okay so let me state this anotherway. When floyd's done getting his 100mil there isn't enough money to make Manny happy and still pay Arum....so he should drop Arum and keep his money.

    How do you guys know if they are lying or not?? I mean nobody here has any "inside" information from them. You guys defend their truth like if you knew for a fact that what they are saying is absolutely true....both sides could be lying for all I know.

    Honestly though, how likely is that Mayweather would demand $100M? That makes next to no sense.

    It makes no sense to me either but I wouldnt go as far as saying "thats an absolute lie" cuz I really wouldnt know. We as fans only know a small portion of information and we really dont know what really happens during negotiations. This seems like a never ending struggle to blame the other side for the fight not happening

    Both fighters are to blame for this fight not happening, both fighters will never be considered as great as they could have been because of it.
