    He's won every round after three, I love watching him box he's an art form in there.

    Very impressive by Nevin but why am I surprised. Mixed it up beautifully behind a high guard.
    The WSB has served him well, needed a more aggressive style and with the Am's moving the same way, JJN has style options.

    I think after he qualified at 60 he boxed at 54 and planned to drop back down before the Olympics and wasnt able to.

    I'm guessing you meant 64:lol: Ah i get ya. I assume he couldn't get too many fights in Britain at the time at 60kg (being world champion and all) so he probably had to move up to be kept active. Was a pity really that he had to miss the olympics.

    I don't know mate, but there is always some undercurrent of political shenanigans going on in Ulster or Irish boxing.But I can tell you one thing, since Pat McCrory has been ousted the Ulster championships have suffered dramatically and this is on the back of the best performance of any NI team at the Commonwealths [ a time when interest in the sport was on a high]. McCrory would have pulled all sorts of strings to make sure as many big names as possible would have been entering in these championships. Where was Conlan, Barnes, McLoughlin, Quigley, Ward, McMonagle and many others. I know some of thse boys are tied up with the WSB, but there are many who aren't and decided to sit these championships out.
    All provincial championships should be treated with respect, and not ignored because it isn't the nationals. It doesn't seem that long ago when the Ulster championships attracted full houses and standing room only in the Ulster Hall finals [1500/1600 fans]. I hope this problem is addressed and we can get back to this again.

    Just a thought coming to my head;;;
    Chevez jr is told to fight Martinez which most people say wont happen--powerful people minding jrs belt-etc.
    Macklin is hoping to fight Martinez on Paddys day but Martinez wants to fight bigger fish in different weights,but i dont think that will happen either..
    But here is the sting----Dibella is the link to it all as he manages both Macklin and Martinez and can call what he likes for jrs next fight as Martinez is Mandatory,he also Manages a certain Andy Lee and the bait to keep all sides happy is for Martinez to fight Macklin at msg on paddys night and Andy to fight Chevez on the same card;
    All boxers happy and a super night for Irish boxing in the Capital.
    YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!!!!!!
