well I would hope that the orgs let him (or Froch) fight in a unification fight instead of facing his mandatory.

Right, and that's also a strong possibility. The winner of S6champ-Bute would have to go for the WBO title holder right away say in the fall/winter 12-13 and then face (one of their) mandatory as their next fight.

    We. Want. Unification. :happy

True. But he is an obvious talent, who many felt beat 1 of the S6 finalists, plus, he did beat AA who, has become somewhat of a barometer.
He also provides a decent opponent for Bute, and may even upset him. A pretty good test for Bute to say the least, and should somewhat counter the idea that Bute has skated while the S6 finalists haven't.

    How about an "Other" option?

I'd like to see this as three double header on fight cards on Showtime in 2012:

    Spring Card:

Kessler vs. Stieglitz = Winner 1

Bute vs. Dirrell in early = Winner 2

    Summer Card:

Winner 1 vs. Winner 2 = Undisputed Champion

S6 Winner vs. Mandatory = Undisputed Challenger

    Winter Card:

Champion vs. Challenger in Winter of 2012 with a mix up of the other contenders on the under-card.

Bute has a horrible resume, Kessler ran from the super six and both refused to fight each other.Does either really deserve a shot?

Who is better than Dirrell from Bute's resume? I'll wait.

I don't care who the winner fights, as long as it's not Bute.

Lucien hasn't earned the right to face the clear champion.

Maybe Bute-Kessler (which would probably be a great fight) and then that winner fights tonights champ.

The S6 Winner should face Bute next Summer and the fight should be in Atlantic City, Vegas or New York (not in Nottingham, Okland or Montreal)

The Kessler - Stieglitz winner should fight the loser of the S6 finale in july or august in europe

if Ward wins... then the only logical option would be Bute... he already won against Kessler .If Froch wins.. than again he already won against Dirrell so Bute would be the next Logical fight... i dont see the winer fighting a boxer that already lost to the man he beat in the s6 final ! make the Bute fight and win that... than you are the best 168 fighter in the world !
Honestly i cant see Froch doing that... he might be lucky and get Ward but the way he fights would expose the lack of boxing skills against Bute... Ward on the other hand has the right tools to win against both fighters... and i would love to see a boxing match ( even tho it would be borring as hell ) between Bute and Ward .. a match based on skills and technique rather than power and aggressiveness !

Imagine Ward-Bute. Is there a more boring prospective fight to be made? I'd rather watch Wlad Klitschko read Proust.

You wouldn't even have anyone to root for. Is there a way to hope that both guys lose?

The only way I'd watch that fight is if they promised naked ring girls. Hey, that's an idea !
