It's a joke of a fight. Crolla, Burns, Murray etc are not on the same level as Burns but Frank doesn't want Burns to lose. Burns is not mixing with the right class, he is WORLD class, not EURO.
Totally agree mate and IMO would generate more money surely. Crolla's got there name and wasn't to long ago IIRC wasn't gonna stay at lightweight. Ricky's career takes one step forward then two back if this happens..
Yeah spot on, he was saying he came to 135 for the title and would go back down. And what gets me, is that WHEN he loses, thats exactly what he'll use as an excuse and go back down. That said I do like Crolla. Burns' stock has never been higher, he needs a big fight.
Crolla hasn't done enough to merit a shot at a 'world title', but then again Burns didn't deserve his shot against Martinez.
Thought so, Joe turned Limond down IIRC then it was made. As you say it's like a no lose situation for Crolla can fling out them excuses, he's not gonna take a bad beating. I like Crolla to and wish him all best, wish Ricky's career wouldn't be ruined like it is. Soon as this gets made the usual suspects will be out in full effect.
Mitchell is fighting in Feb so it will be Burns Vs Mitchell in the summer(as long as Burns and Mitchell both win of course)
It sounds to me like it doesn't happen. Burns is taking a nothing fight in March. Mitchell is having a warm up on the same night. It is being geared towards a showdown in the summer. It's not a particular secret, but it's what I hear
