Fenech , has proved to be a master at manipulating the ratings and getting his lads fights they don't desrve , he's also a master at manipulating the press,,, Just look at how he brought Green through to be a houshold name .

Regards chasing the dollars he also seems to be a master at that , but heh , you want to use the piper , be prepared to pay him .

Regards, the Briggs fiasco ,, Fenech was'nt involved was he ,

If Mick wants to stay in the states get bashed up a couple mors tims and then through out with the dishwater , He don't need Fenech .

But if he wants to get much needed publicity , a few easy fights and build up a Aussie following , then Fenech is probably a good choice.

 

if nothing else, jeff will get him fit. kats style demands fitness. the fitter, the better he will be.

if fenech gets him as fit as it is possible for katsidis to be, you may see kat fight the best he ever has.

jeff was that sort of fighter. fitness was his strength. he never stopped. he was on your chest every second. kat may be jeffs sort of fighter. they may turn out to be very good together.

 

I dont think fitness/stamina was ever a problem for kats. Its one of his strong points.

 

Agree. His problem is he is a professional fighter who cannot throw a right hand to save himself.

 

and his inside fighting is terrible, especially in the burns fight. Fenech may be able to help him with this

Fenech is money hungry and sides with anyone if he thinks he can make a quid off it but he is 1 of the few who looked good after the Briggs debacle.

 

I agree with all of that. But I think you'll find after he walked away from the Briggs camp he loaded up on the 1st round result and collected handsomely.

Fenech knew what every body in the industry knew..... Briggsy was a shot duck and in great danger of being turned into a vegetable if he sustained any sort of beating. He came into the Briggs camp at the request of Billy Hussein but walked away after witnessing a sparring session. Any one who thinks Jeff did'nt have plenty on a 1st round KO to Green still believes in Santa Claus.
