    i believe carl froch deserves recognition from the british,if not world boxing fraternity,as one of the best exponents of the noble art in the uk in decades.it's a mystery to me how he has flown under the radar in the eyes of the sports mad british public.i'm sure if he'd been plying his trade in the 70's or 80's,fighting on terrestrial tv, he'd be a household name,having taken on allcomers,home and away, in a very tough division.my gut feeling is that ward might just be a bit too cute for him tonight,and beat him on points.i really,really hope i'm wrong,as 'the cobra'deserves a homecoming worthy of a conquering great.win or lose,i'm sure carl froch will do himself and his country proud.:bbb

    **** you all.froch has ducked nobody and win or lose,no opponent would relish fighting him a second time.he has a great chin and punches like a mule.definite hof'er.hope he retires a wealthy man with his faculties intact 2012.

    Has a very good chin and has above average power. Arguably lost 2 in a row during this tournament and there are many more that have done more.

    I love Carl Froch, but guaranteed legend? Not IMO.

    Heavy handed but not a big KO puncher. he's not been stopping people since he moved into world class (a fatigued Taylor aside).

    There's journeymen who have never ducked anybody, are they legends too?

    Regardless, Froch is a credit to his country and a real warrior. He is a throwback fighter. That term is bandied about willy nilly these days but in this case, it's deserved.

    Theres fighters who duck and journeymen whom fight anyone just to earn some extra cash. Noone calls them legends.
