I bet he mentions "my fight in DC" about ten times.

Also Amir, Atlantic City is not Ward's home town!

Just watching fight camp 360, Virgil Hunter thinks he's Brother Naazim with the handwrap stuff.

FFS, even the US media are talking about Ward fighting away from home. There is a strange sense of entitlement to Ward and his team and a strange resentment when challenged about it.

At least he hasn't started cherry-picking.

The tournament is a great concept. Ward had not been tested anywhere this level before this all started. That Kessler fight was a revelation, Kessler just didn't have any answers at all. I was never convinced that Abraham was going to step up to 168 and do well - especially so when you consider he had to fight outside of Germany.

The biggest disappointment for me has been the Dirrell debacle. He showed in flashes against Froch that he could be sensational. Unfortunately, he also showed cowardice in monumental proportions.

I agree Ward has better technique, movement and is well-rounded. A rightful favourite.
However I think Froch is being way overlooked. Glen Johnson and Jean Pascal are both bigger and stronger than Ward IMO and Carl beat them both. Ward is under ALL the pressure here, he's not in California (home advantage in the US and with a non-neutral Ref mind you) and is facing an "awkward" unorthodox nightmare!

    Froch is gonna test him!

He's been going a little over the top with his attempts at unsettling opponents of late.

I saw a vid where he walked up to Carl on the street and told him he was ganna get hit so often and stopped, or words to that effect.

I thought to myself he was lucky he wasn't walking up to someone with a McClellan, Tyson, or Duran mentality talking like that...:scaredas:

Like most I'd kessler and abraham picked to reach the finals. Delighted froch and ward have got there in the finish. Would have been a shame if either abraham or johnson won their semis def the 2 most deserving have got their in the finish

I agree totally, Kessler said he unsettled him in the dressing room. I think it's slight insecurities about his fighter or maybe he likes to earn himself a slice of the victory. Some coaches are like that..

Don't like way he talks to fighters, commissioner was so slow to stop it he should be pulled in after that viewing.
