Froch waves his left arm in place, elbow sticking out to the side. Awkward clinch, Froch slapping a right across Ward's back. Quick left by Ward as Froch is backing out of the clinch. Ward pulls his upper body back, and jabs out of the half-crouch. Froch is grinning at him, letting him land jabs to the stomach while swinging his own left arm at his side. Ward ducks and paws his jab. Froch is hanging back, making Ward creep in slowly so that he'd have to lunge out of position to land a jab. Froch holds Ward outside with a steadying left glove on the shoulder, like a small child. Good quick jab to the chin by Froch, controlling range. Ward gets inside and clinches. Inside flurry both ways. Froch's nose is red already. Ward comes forward, and Froch circles wide to the left. Ward ducks in and Froch taps his kidneys as they come together in a brief near-hold. Jabs to the cheek by Ward. Diving right by Froch, falling short. Ward keeps trying to place his lead foot inside Froch's.
