    said it before and will say it again. Ward is just too good. He will be the greatest SMW of all time when it is all said and done.

    Calzage would slap him.
    Calzage aint no slow-mo Froch.....
    And Calzage can fight inside and outside.

    Calzaghe beats ward any day of the week
    Ward is good but Calzaghe was great

    Perhaps in a few years he can be compared to him
    But not before, that is just ludicrous

    Calzaghe.

    Much better fighter than Froch is, still great respect to Froch.

    Calzaghe had an amazing work rate, punches to the head and body.
    Decent pop, same as Ward.
    Speed.
    Timing.
    Joe Calzaghe was also able to fight both inside and outside.

    Calzaghe on points for me, 116-112

    Calzaghe wouldn't fight anyone in their prime like ward. let's be honest

    Id give the edge in speed to Calzaghe and I'd tip him to out work Ward over the distance.

    Cal is WAY faster than froch, so he would do better for sure.

    That's exactly why he'll refuse to fight Bute. He'll leave Bute to fight Froch next, then Kessler and Steiglitz while Ward takes a page out of Phonys book and retires while Bute is looking for a fight, then unretire and fight Despaigne or Hopkins, then prompty retire when Bute is looking for him again.

    tell you what compare Ward at 27 and Calzaghe at 27.

    Have people forgotten how Calzaghe made a habit of throwing a thousand punches a fight? Calzaghe still beats the Ward I saw, though I got a lot more respect for SOG now.
