1: 10-9 Ward, 10-9 Ward (somewhat close but still clear for Ward)
2: 10-9 Ward, 20-18 Ward
3: 10-9 Ward, 30-27 Ward

5: 10-9 Ward, 50-45 Ward (Froch rallied late and landed well, but lost most of the round)
6: 10-9 Ward, 60-54 Ward
7: 10-9 Ward, 70-63 Ward (legitimately close round...IMO still clear for Ward)
8: 10-9 Ward, 80-72 Ward
9: 10-9 Froch, 89-82 Ward (Froch's only very clear round)
10: 10-9 Ward, 99-91 Ward
11: 10-9 Ward, 109-100 Ward
12: 10-9 Ward, 119-109 Ward

Love your stuff, Butt -- but I stick by my score and the two judges.

Props to Ward, though: He fought well and I have no problem with the result. He's a good guy and he maximizes his ability, I feel. :happy

How can you give Ward the 12th when he landed maybe 2 punches? Even round minimum.

Didn't think 9 was clear for Froch either, possibly even but I saw Ward do better work.

So no, this fight was not 'easy to score' but it was very easy to see the winner.

R01 --> 10-9 CF ------------- Very close; could be Ward's round. Gave to CF for more aggression
R02 --> 10-9 AW ------------ Ward now doing speed, in-out tactics well. CF will have to adjust
R03 --> 10-9 AW ------------ Same as last round. Similar to Dirrell-Froch
R04 --> 10-9 AW ------------ AW mauling, here we go. Trying to cut up CF with elbows; AW tiring

R06 --> 10-9 CF ------------- Nice AW left hook near end round, but this round going how CF wants it to

R09 --> 10-9 CF ------------- More of what CF wants; but judges likely give to AW. CF broken nose?

R11 --> 10-9 CF ----[6-5F] -- Ward looks bad
R12 --> 10-9 AW ---[6-6] --- Close round; AW only hold, hit, etc. Not a good look for Ward

114-114 Draw

Good to see 2 judges had it essentially as I did, just a one point difference (115-113).

118-110 judge is way off, IMO.

So, sounds like we were just one point off in the Pac-JMM III fight. I had it 115-113, I think, and sounds like you had it 114-114.

Yes, I had it 114-114. I think JMM blew it in the last two rounds.

Ward clearly won this though. 118-111 for me.

I had the 12th close, very close -- but I thought Ward did enough to sway the judges his way.

Anyway, I gave Froch rounds 5 and 12. Ward everything else. 118-110. 115-113 cards were way off and extremely surprising. Credit to John Keane getting it right. Even Froch looked surprised at two judges have only 2 rounds in it.

A Ward win by anything from 4 to 8 points is fair, anything less or more is dubious IMO.

I was referring to IB anyway, but I cant possibly see Ward winning the 12th, even though Froch was fairly ineffective Ward did nothing, ran and held.

I think the more fan-boyish a poster may be, the more I may come off as a troll. And I understand about the pic. I respect Pac.

I like and respect Andre Ward. He is very cerebral, and gets the most out of his abilities. And he's humble. Hard not to like and respect that. :happy

If I don't say what I think I see, then I'm actually not respecting the other posters.

It's like if I see a homeless person and say "man, you're doing great!" Sounds nice, but it's not honest. So it's not respectful. Being honest with a person is true respect, IMO.

In other words, being honest = being respectful. Being honest isn't the same as being falsely "nice."
