So you had Paul Williams beating Lara?
Man stop using the officials are proof that your scorecard doesn't suck. Robberies happen all the time in boxing.

    99% of boxing fans, perhaps.

    That's why they're judges and we're not.

Again, the "outlier" judge in this fight was 118-110. Two judges had the same score, which gives that score more credence.

Those were the two rounds I actually gave to Froch, but they weren't clear at all.

How can they be clear when Froch barely landed a clean punch all night? Ward's defense was superb and his ring generalmanship off the charts compared to Froch's all night bar rounds 11 and 12.

Froch wasn't landing more, wasn't landing cleaner nor was he an affective aggressor.

    Actually, neither was.

The 9th was Froch's clear round.

Al Bernstein (widely accepted as a credible boxing mind, and adored by Brits as one of the few Yank pundits to know wtf he's talking about...especially since he started working over there now and then) had it just the same - Ward 1-8 and 10-12; Froch 9.

Some of my fellow countrymen are making us all look like bad ****ing losers here.

Give it a rest, Ward wrecked him and 9 out of 10 he would do it again.

Round 5 and round 12 are the only rounds we could possible give Froch.

The man is a warrior and i love the dude (no homo) but Ward is a level above.

    Explain.

I gave Ward the 9th, though I considered giving it even. I can see how you could give it for Froch, but how was it 'clear' when you thought rounds 5 and 12 weren't. :nut

OP lost a lot of credibility with this post.

Even Froch admitted he got beat.

    99% of boxing.

What was the statistic? Ward landed 100 more power shots than Froch?

    OK, I scored Williams-Lara 115-113 Williams.

Although many considered it one of the worst robberies in the past five years, I have "official back-up" for my patently incompetent scorecard.

And that must make you uncomfortable.

I've actually been over both rounds at length.

Froch landed a couple of good shots near the end of the fifth. Not enough to steal it.

The 12th was a Ward comfort-zone round. Both landed some big stuff (Froch early, Ward late). Both were ineffective for most of the middle of the round.

In the 9th - unlike the 5th or 12th - Froch had some lengthy stretches of success both backing Ward up and landing on him. Ward's activity also dropped off. Hence, clear round for Froch (in a way that neither the fifth nor twelfth was).

I think (and know) you're completely wrong here, as the rounds Froch did well in and possibly won he did so by the same means, so seei g the 9th and not the 5th or the 12th is ridiculous + I never saw any big shots in the twelth, I saw Ward land 2 clean shots, comparable to the figure Froch landed, but Froch was controlling as he had Andre runnning and wanting to clinch and didn't stop pressuring the whole round.

As for the 5th, it was a very even round which Froch stole at the end. It was back and fourth the whole round.
