Ward is better than Calzaghe, would beat Calzaghe, and will soon be the #1 SMW ever.

Let Ward defend the belt 20 times in 9 or 10 yrs then maybe we will talk then about him being the best supermiddle

How many more fights could he possibly need? one, half a fight? Maybe if he beats up old ass Tarver and old RJJ he will be elevated. It's got to be close considering the few significant fights Joe had. I can't even begin to imagine a single smw opponent Joe faced having a realistic chance of beating Ward.

 

Regrettably Andre after turning 25 years old has chosen NOT to go the route of fighting Sobot, Ferreyra, Thornberry, Starie, Veit, McIntyre, Jimenez, Pudwill, Mkrtchyan, Salem, Veit (again), Ashira, & Manfredo Jr. when he could fight MEN instead.

He probably won't be on top for another decade or so but then again he realized that fighting a long string of bums and then fighting two old far past prime greats and quickly retiring is pretty ****. Go figure huh?

 

Is this a joke? Mayweather will easily be 2 to 1 at the book when the fight happens. If it wasn't for so many bad handicappers it would be 4 to 1.

 

I feel he needs bute to seal the deal in his division. And I hope martinez mans up and go up just one more division just like he would like the welters of today to do(go up and fight him) to fight ward

At least calzaghe best his opponents with slaps/punches ward beat ls people with a combination of his skills and dirty ass tricks, it's not really that entertaining at times

Hopkins has repeatedly said he'd never fight Ward because he's like a son to him.

 

Ward hasnt even done half of what Calzaghe has done.
Ward isnt faster, isnt as busy, doesnt throw as many combinations and only knows how to slip punches when crowding someone, which would fall right into Calzaghe.
When watching Ward last night, it made me realise he would never have got close to beating Calzaghe.

Wards best win is Kessler who Calzaghe had already beaten.
Ward doesnt have any SMW wins as good as Calzaghe had with wins over Kessler, Eubank, Mitchell, Reid and Lacy, and yes that is correct.

Kessler had been truly exposed by Calzaghe giving a bluprint on how to beat him and was an unwell double vision suffering fighter

Froch in his world title fights was 5-1, beat Pascal who had done nothing at SMW and wasnt even a top 10 SMW, and was behind in his only win by KO over Taylor (who was 1-2 in his last 3 fights and done little at SMW) at world title level when scoring a late KO, had a SD over Dirrell whos best win was Oganov and had done nothing at SMW, LOST to Kessler coming off a loss, beat Abraham coming off a loss who had done little at SMW and beat Johnson by MD, who had done little at SMW and whos best win at SMW was beating A Green coming off a loss.

That isnt better than what Mitchell, Lacy or Reid achieved and similar to that of Woodhall when weighed up.

Ward has a long way to go to equal Calzaghe and didnt want to answer about Bute who has looked far better against commen opposition.

I dont think Ward would beat beat Bute. If he does fair play, but it would still leave him short of the #1 SMW ever
