Well Juarez did beat Escobedo ( At least I thought ). Good sort of win. But he is nowhere near World Class and Gamboa-Juarez is dumb. BTW source?

I was trying to read the article, and while I didn't decipher at what weight the proposed fight would be, I didn't see any evidence that Gamboa would be defending his featherweight title. As a nontitle fight, Juarez is fine. However, why Gamboa would choose to debut in a higher weight class against an opponent who himself was recently a featherweight, makes zero sense to me. THAT is the REAL waste of time.

How come Juarez keeps getting these big fights without ever accomplishing anything?

Top Rank has no idea what to do with Gamboa.

i wish he'd fight Broner instead ! But isnt Broner a GBP? then forget it.
but its hard to get good fights for gamboa, TR doesnt care much about him.I believe gamboa vs lopez will still sell big.
According to this article, they are planning to get Rios next( but i doubt Rios will stay at 135)and make the fight in the new Miami baseball stadium. Then he'll go after Khan( who should be at 147 then) and then after Pacquiao( who should be retired then).
    whole bunch of science fiction

    Juarez is garbage...

Gamboa should be on Pacquiao undercards. Arum is being a jerk wasting this guy's talent away.

Gamboa need to start fighting the best at 126 to 130, maybe go for Antillon, or Katsidis at 135, Rios is definitively moving up. Gamboa needs to start adding to his legacy, can't waste any more time.
