Money and Sweet Pea are both at heart counterpunchers and both try to

use angles and make the guy theri fighting lead, Keith right it maybe a 5

or 10 punches landed per round type fight

I suggest you watch more Whitaker.

Anyway, Whiatker completely owns Pac, wouldn't you agree?

Most of the time he induced those mistakes. He could be an aggressive counter-puncher, and really knew how to fight on the inside. His fights were rarely boring, in my opinion. A fight between he and Floyd would see a plethora of different tactics utilised. I think it would be great to watch, but Pete holds the key edges.

Just watch the Jose Luis Ramirez fight. Whitaker is very effective offensively, even against a fighter like JLR.

I have mate, whitaker was awesome and iam not saying he was a safety

first defensive fighter all iam saying is he was a great counter puncher and

floyd vs whitaker would be boring because neither man would want to

make a mistake because they both have great defense. Pac who swings

wide open and is there to hit gets ud and iam a pac man fan but sweet

pea was awesome i what he did and that was taking advanage of others

    mistakes

And? Brazier was a very crafty, experienced veteran. A top notch gate-keeper type that Pernell made to look like an amateur with a consistent and varied offensive arsenal.

If you don't like that one, how about this one?

    I could keep going.

Whitaker would be too concerned with defense, and not enough offense, and will end up losing via SD.

You always get the impression that people haven't seen much more than the occasional Youtube highlight in these Whitaker threads. That or the De La Hoya fight.

He did make them make mistakes it was no fluke that Sweet Pea was as

great as he was and against Manny it would be aggressive counter

puching but when you have two fighter that are counter puchers they

arent always the most fun to watch all iam saying. Now if your watching

just to admire the craft of defenive fighting then this would be your fight

It's the problem with new boxing fans who become groupies and instead of exploring past greats, they spend all their time bashing other fighters or choking one over their current favorite fighters.

A win over a Harold Brazier today would have you mother****ers claiming whoever did it was a current top 5 p4p fighter post fight.
