Theres ALOT of fighters that can look like a superstar against a complete bum, then they face a top fighter and fall apart.

At this point, Brook might not even be as good as Berto, nevermind his chances against Pac.

Brook vs Mike Jones. IF your boy Brook beats Jones impressively (which I doubt), THEN we can begin discussing his chances vs the welter elite.

Kell Brook is a prospect,not quite ready yet for the likes of the top welters.But someone mentioned he was the best British Welterweight prospect since Lloyd Honeyghan and he looks like it.Early doors yet for him though pal but he`s getting there.

 

Granted the level of opposition was weak, but Kell's calmness and reflexes are massively impressive. Khan despite all the haters on ESB has some major talent (and obvious flaws), but always looks jittery and rushed in the ring. Brook just looks natural and calm in there. Like Ward and Mayweather (and he's no way at that level yet before anyone gets all hot and bothered) he wastes very little energy with unnecessary punches or movement. He never looks rushed. Time for a step up, but he's more than ready for it.

 

Kell's not fought at the same level as Khan. But if you're talking about skills and physical talent, the only advantage Khan has over Brook is handspeed. Other than that, they're evenly matched and Kell has the advantage in many aspects. He's slick. The head movement avoiding punches was impressive last night, great reflexes. Bit more power than Khan too. Mentally, Brook is far stronger than Khan. He looks at home in the ring, the picture of calm.

 

Khan's intent on moving up. Making the point that he doesn't even look that powerful now, what's he going to do at 147?

 

Imo Brook is a more "natural" fighter than Khan & Ive always thought he'd beat him, styles make fights & all that.

Kell doesnt have huge power but throws hurtful looking shots & is fairly tidy defensively.

 

According to Khan, Brook got the better of him in sparring a few times because he was 'going easy' on him.

No he didn't, though he did say he took it easy on Brook and i've heard him say previously he used to beat up on Brook pretty badly in sparring.

One of the pundits mentioned something about him having trouble with Brook in sparring, or something along those lines and Khan said he went easy on him a few times. Sounded as bitter about that as he is with everything else at the moment.
