Ward is better than Calzaghe, would beat Calzaghe, and will soon be the #1 SMW ever.

:rofl Up to now I've been Popkins the benefit of the doubt, but it seems he is indeed an alt of the infamous DIMINATA, with his competitive desire to debate and the sensitivity of a 14 year old on her periods. Fortunately he repeatedly gets run off this forum in tears.

DIMINATA, you are an attention seeking cross dresser, still with a disgraceful lack of boxing knowledge. Stick to making pointless nonsensical threads in the esb mmGAY forum.

Hopkins v Ward would be an ugly, but fascinating fight.

Wards resume at 168 is already easily better than Calzaghe.
This is the difference between 2 fighters when 1 is shelterd the entire time and does not dare to be great.
The other fighter signsup in a tournament which forces him to fight the best around.

Even on best win basis Ward beat Kessler more convincingly.
Few more years and Joe will be so far behind Ward it wont even be funny.

Joe wasted his entire prime, he can blame his promotion but in the end he stuck with them and reaped the rewards of fighting a lot of easy fights for good money.
Great for your bank not so good for your legacy.

Oh how about this for a nightmare matchup, Hopkins vs Ward with Joe Cortez as the ref.

calzaghe would beat ward, and would have made froch look totally stupid. of course wards resume is better than joes, but only because of the super six. if this tournament had been invented when calzaghe was a champion he would have def fought in it. the funniest thing is when people talk about jeff lacy being hyped...before the fight no one mentioned the word hype, he was an undefeated IBF champ, knocking everyone out, and joe was the underdog in the betting (i know because i won a lot of money on that fight) but when calzaghe totally outclassed him and ruined his career for good, then lacy was all hype. take the super six away from wards resume, and calzaghe prob has a better level of opponents after 25 fights. add to all this calzaghe who was trained by his father who had no boxing background whatsoever and its plain to see how good he was.

I didn't see the Calzage-Kessler fight but I read it was a closely contested all out war. Considering how easily Ward handled Kessler, I couldn't count him out against Calzage.

A disgraceful lack of boxing knowledge eh? :think

OK shitbag, I'm willing to post links to the best boxing threads I've ever made, are you man enough to do the same? And then we can see who has proven to have more boxing knowledge between you and I. :good

Or are you just another troll with nothing to back up his words like HEADBANGER and co???

    Too right they're not.

I've been saying for years that Calzaghe's SMW legacy was built on almost a decade of youtube bum fights, and that it would all come crashing down as soon as one good fighter with the mentality to spend his career fighting the best came along at 168.

Lo and behold, I was right. Again. Didn't have to wait too long either. :rofl

Clinging to the lacy win is pathetic. Lacy doesn't have a single significant win on his resume. No top mw, or lhw in history would have been challenged significantly by Lacy.

Those fights are enough to put Ward far and away ahead of Calzaghe. You need to realize how truly pathetic the club fighters Calzaghe routinely fought are. For over ten years of his career he was little more than a domestic champ with a paper title.
