I thought Alexander lost his last 3 fights, and he's looked sloppy in all of those fights. That being said, Brook is English and Alexander is American. Therefore, I have to go with Alexander in this fight.
In all honesty, I don't know. I've never even seen a full Brook fight. From what I've seen from him, he doesn't fight like the guys who have troubled Alexander, and he hasn't really fought anyone yet. I'd really like to see Brook fight a top 10 level guy. At this point, I don't know enough about the guy to make an accurate assessment.
Jokes aside, this would be a good fight and a great test for Brook. I doubt Alexander would take it, though. Too risky. Personally, I've seen more of Alexander than Brook and he's got the experience edge for sure. At this point, it looks like a close fight that all depends on Brook. If he steps up his game for this fight, he could take it. In all of Brook's fights I've seen, he seems to get bored. Almost in the same way Chad Dawson used to. If he was able to rise to the occasion, I'd pick him to win.
Are you serious? His last 5 fights were, Bradley, Matthysse, Kotelnik, Urango, and Witter. His next fight is against Maidana. Alexander is all about taking risks. Who has Brook fought?
Kell Brook. Better boxer and better puncher. Decision or KO, depends on the night, but Brook always wins this fight IMO, that is of course as long as it isn't in St Louis.
Of which he lost 3, Witter was a very shot fighter who retired due to injury and he was level on the cards with Urango...
That's not the point. In fact, you helped prove my point, which is that Alexander is not adverse to taking risks. Kotelnik was the only one of those guys that pretty much no one gave a chance at beating Alexander.
I gave Urango no chance to win, I thought he'd lose a wide decision which is why I bring up the closeness of the scorecards in that fight as a negative of Alexander. I knew he was going to beat Witter as Witter was shot to bits and it was a joke title fight.
Unless you believe that your personal opinion is the only one that counts, and that the general consensus doesn't, then nothing you said proves what I said was wrong. It's silly to say that Alexander wouldn't fight Brook becasue it's too risky of a fight considering all the risky fights Alexander has been taking lately. That was my point.
I'd favour Brook if fair officiating was part of the deal for the fight to happen, Alexander has proved to be nothing more than a flash in the pan.
The popular opinion was that Witter was shot and that Urango was gonna lose a wide decision. Not just my personal, but the popular. I'm not saying he wouldn't fight Brook cos I'm sure he would. I give him props for fighting Matthyse who is a tough son of a *****, but not the others. Urango - Expected to win wide Kotelnik - Just came off a wide points loss v Khan and hadn't really fought many good or established fighters. Witter - Shot to bits
