Floyd Mayweather: The most unappreciated fighter of his time

Mayweather's disliked by a good number of fans, but I don't know...I feel like most people give him his just due as a great fighter.

 

Mayweather was largely unappreciated and unnoticed early in his career so than he started to act like he does now and his boxing skill is still unappreciated and unnoticed.

 

He's not appreciated because he's KFC.

 

Its funny you say that cos my trainer was telling me the exact same thing when we spoke about Floyd and his haters...

 

a lot of of people also overlook his hypothetical wins.

 

No2 Boxer of the decade despite barely fighting in the last 3 years of tht decade.

Ranked spot on for me. Amazing talent. A good resume, just needs the one big fight against a Prime HOF in there weight class.

If he does that and wins. He will go from a top 50 ATG to a top 20 IMO.

Particulary the way he hypothetically destroys 2007/8 versions of Margarito and Cotto. And 2009 version of Manny. Those are awesome Hypothetical Wins.

Lots of fans out there appreciate his skills but hate the person portrayed outside the ring.

look at what happen to Mike Tyson and OJ Simpson, does anyone remember their skills, they are just well known for their bad behavior.

 

I'd have to pretty much agree with this. Mayweather really only gets underrated when it comes to fights that can't or people don't think will take place. For instance, when people thought he wasn't going to fight Mosley, many people claimed Mosley would beat him. Of course, once that fight was signed, just about everyone picked Mayweather to win.

his fanboys are really 50cent fans and only started watching boxing because they saw floyd hang out with fiddy and thought it would be cool to support him.

No one likes boring fights or boring fighters. NO ONE.

 

floyd is the fantasy head-to-head p4p champ. i don't know why some people thinks he is unappreciated. floyd would beat them anyway so why the need to fight them?
