depends. If the man gets hit he might go down. At his peak and right mindset (not cocky and reckless) i can see him beating froch on points.

I thinking if Ottke and Wood can spark Choc Froch could also . I suggested this fight a few years ago on this board and was laughed at because Mundine fighting for the Commonwealth was regarded as being beneath his level .

yes he got sparked by both but thats wat i mean about the mind set. he was dominating ottke and woods 1, had no respect for them and in the end that's wat cost him.

To b fair froch has been an obscure figure in boxing for most of his career. Probably the same as mundine in america.

Even among Aussie's that don't like Choc, he has a mysteriously earned reputation to hang with the world's best "in his prime". This is strange as his best wins are against domestic competition in Sam Soliman, Danny Green and Daniel Geale.

IMO Mundine was solidly second tier (on the world level) in his career and there is no shame in that - but when evaluating 'fantasy fights' he should probably be evaluated on who he actually won and lost against and not the vagaries of his intangible 'potential'.

In other words - who has Mundine ever beaten as good as Ward or Froch?

I agree and no one, but I give him a few rounds here, prob later in the fight as Ward backs off. That's if it lasts that long.

At this moment in time, it's hard to imagine any fighter of recent times at SMW to being able to beat Ward.

Odds for a fight between Mundine in Oz would be something like $1.20 Ward and $4.00 Mundine.

Mundine's best chance to beat him would be to land something like the right hand against Soliman in Round 2 of their second fight. I would say Mundine's speed in a one punch sense is quicker and a win via knockout would be the best chance for him to win.

It's ****ing astounding to me that some people think choc would beat Ward. I think they might be taking the **** so in that case it's actually quite funny :rofl

the only reason choc really beats anyone is his speed. i dont think he has that advantage here and without it hed be just a backpedalling target for ward.

Andre Ward comfortably against any version of Anthony Mundine.

How did he go against Kessler when he was in his prime?

    That's right.

You serious?? Since when does Mundine outwork anyone?? Mundine's biggest strength was always his speed, while his greatest weakness (in my opinion) has always been his shithouse workrate.

    Ward 120-108.
