    Tough one honestly...

Ward's prime we aint sure of yet, but lets say at the moment vs Calzaghe's prime.

About as 50/50 fight i could think of at 168....probably i would pick Ward by close close decision.

No mate I wouldn't agree I think the masterclass v Lacy was a brilliant example of Calzaghe at his best .

Whopper this is getting childish we will have to agree to. Disagree mate if that's ok by you ?

Kagsy based on Saturday nights Preformance Andre v Joe is as close to a 50-50 fight as you can get .

Honestly mate i would go back & watch some of Calzaghe's best performances on DVD before giving a breakdown opinion.
It would be a 50/50 fight pretty much i agree...maybe because i just watched Ward's masterclass 24 hours ago i lean to him at this moment not by much.

    Very very close fight.
Ward may not even be at his best and he looks the goods.

I think Calzaghe at his peak might just take him though.
Joes workrate might have Ward in unknown territory, and his stamina was also first rate.
Ward did appear to slow a frag in round 11/12 the other night.

    It's a pity it won't happen.

Yes mate when a preformacw like that is fresh in the mind it can lead to a false call , the thing i keep coming back to is that Carl Froch ain't as skilled as Joe .

Sox great point about Andre not being at his peak yet , one thing for sure though is Andre knows all the tricks of the trade .

    No doubt about that.
Froch is 1 tough man...but no where near as skilled technically as Calzaghe.

active - probably floyd. he can b a dick and has cherry picked crazy ways. but his skills are a joy.

just 3 for all time is hard, so ill narrow down the best i can. james toney, roy jones, kostya tszu, tyson, floyd and early sugar shane.

i know the big names but i have barely any knowledge of the sport pre 90's so they dont feature in my favs.

    wat about u?

ps. u can say joe lol.

Kags I try to keep away from mundine threads but that one regarding Choc v Andre made me laugh out loud , Froch would have beaten the shite out of Mundine even in Mundines prime perfect jet had it spot on Andre would beat Mundine and not lose a round , it's all about skills .

The best version of mundine wouldnt have lasted 8 rds with froch mate. He might hang on to hear 120-108 on all cards against ward.

Yea that whole Joe thing put him back a bit But i respect what he has achieved , the good thing about the super six bugger was it forced the best to fight the best with the exception. of Bute of course . Warmed to Carl ? Not really he is pretty much still an unknown figure away from the sport

Sorry Josey I respect JC but he wouldnt bear Ward. Honestly I cant see how many people have overlooked him. I picked him to win this series because he has it all. People will remember Andre Ward when he's done.
