I thought this was such a good honest interview. So many boxers just thank God/ say the same cliche's and ines after every fight.

I feel with Froch he just opens up and says what he thinks.

Very Honest Interview. More boxers like this please

Fair play to him, honest as a guy can get.

Not the usual laundry list of excuses a defeated boxer usually churns out.

Great interview! Refreshing and his assessment of the fight was correct (aside from the suspect scoring by the US and Canadian judges, I gave Froch two maybe three rounds (for effort alone)).

honest assessment... props to froch for not being a sore loser either... granted, no one likes to lose but some people can lose and still maintain their dignity and respect.

anyone else get bored with how fighters have to thank there religion and there team and there sponsors and there promoters and HBO etc. The interviews only last a few minutes, and that normally takes up most of the time. Followed by a question about what next and the figher saying I'm gonna speak to my team, we wanna fight the best out there.

    Same every time. Soooo Boring.

I like Ortiz interviews too. He just says whats on his mind, however crazy that sounds. Hatton was quite good too.

Froch is in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks it was a close fight. Froch won 2 rounds at most. He was beaten at every facet of the game, inside and outside. His face does not lie.

Nothing wrong with thanking God if thats who they believe in. I wonder why so many people who don't believe in a God get soooooo offended by someone who does lol!

    Weird.

He was clearly just going off the fact that two judges scored the fight close. He hadn't seen the fight back as this interview was right afterwards.

In the post fight press conference Ward said himself he felt that although he was winning he felt it was a close fight, and would have to re-watch the tape to make a comment on the score card.

Froch felt he was coming on stronger while Andre was tiring in the last few rounds, and that's where he picked the points up. In reality on of the judges had him winning 4 of the first 5 round (WTF?!?!).

I'm sure if he gets home and watches it he'll realise that it wasn't that close.

"Offended" might be a little harsh. It's just that people find that guy boring as Hell in his interviews. It's their right to do so.

I don't think he did, he seemed shocked that they had it 115-113 so said he would watch the fight again and maybe give himself more credit.

probably because it seems like an advertisement when people do that on TV. faith should be something private that gives you strength from within.

i guess there's an arguement for both sides.

The interview was really refreshing I'm not going to focus on the fact he said the fight was close, because I guess he could feel that and the scores reflect that (even though they were wrong)

But he gives plenty of credit to Ward and even states he will be going to the gym to work on a better inside game.

I have really changed my mind on Froch over the last year or so. I hope he can beat Bute and win a title again. Boxing needs fighters like him and like him or hate him he has an interesting style and never deserved to be the bottom of the pile of British fighters.

    Exactly!
How would people feel if Froch would have won and said: "First of all I want to say I don't believe in God and I have nothing to thank him for"?
