Great news! 2 days after the SS6 final and Froch is already signed to meet Bute. Acting like this, he can't have any haters left at all!:good

Trying to justify the duck, eh?

There won't be any big unification, because of the mandatories. Bute will probably lose his belt if he faces Froch twice. It depends if the IBF reschedules an eliminator or gives the spot to Andrade.

Ward had the easiest route in the super 6. He fought twice a year. That's bull**** from his fans to try to make excuses about his need of a break.

That easiest route in the super 6 is still much harder than Bute's whole career so far. The man just won the biggest boxing tournament of all time and you're mad cause he wants to take a break and look at his options before committing to a fight quickly? :patsch

Then Froch says why not Bute, it's personal, Bute says why not Froch, it's personal, and the Ward-Kessler rematch is also being mentioned - I think Showtime already lined these bouts up.

The 2-match Froch-Bute deal however is odd (likely requested by both sides as both wanna do it hometown). If one wins convincingly the other can still push for the unnecessary rematch - that can't do any good, winner should just fight Ward.
Looking at the division's schedules and mandatories, I wonder if the two fight deal is as much about filling time if anything.

    Anyone think we'll see this?:

    April 2012
    Kessler - Stieglitz
    Ward - A. Dirrell
    Froch - Bute I

    Summer 2012
    Kessler - Ward
    Froch - Bute II

    Winter 2012
    Winners Ward/Kessler - Froch/Bute

Could definitely see some TV double headers there.
    *Top

I hope it will be line this :

    April 2012
    Ward - dirrel
    Bute- froch 1

    Summer 2012
    Ward - Taylor
    Bute-froch 2

    Winter 2012
    Ward -kessler
    Bute - dirrel andre

    And in 2013
    Ward - bute

What does the term "break" mean to you? Break like in "milking the belts"? I hope you're not talking about the effort. I mean c'mon, we all know that boxers do train and **** like this even between their fights. Seems like this is their full-time job. The effort Ward put is nothing superior to the one Glen Johnson, Bute, Froch, Bika and other professional boxers put. He is just much more skilled than many I just put on that list.
Ahahah! Man, huge props for Ward winning that tournament and becoming the no1 at SMW. But let's no get carried away. It's not like he's your husband and you want him to spend a little more time with you and your kids. Even his wife understands that Ward's career is a short one and they will have to live the rest of their life with what her husband produces now.
Do you really believe Ward will train less becasue he has to face his mando instead of Bute? Ahahhahaha, that's just a myth man.

And here goes in the drain the myth that Bute is not willing to travel and that Interbox are trying to rob the opponent of Bute.

Well they will make more money since they will both pack the venue, not too sure about that in the USA.

Sounds a bit stupid. What happens if Bute dominates Froch easily, completely eliminating the need for a rematch? Will he still have to go to Nottingham for a pointless fight?

This 2 fight deal is interesting to say the least.
The first fight will be more interesting in terms of the Show that will be put but the second one will be the most important to their careers. Not only because of the IBF belt that will remain with the second winner but becasue the last one to be victorius will have a clear edge, even if the lost the first fight IMO.
There's a great chance that neither Bute nor Froch look good after this clash. There must be only one winner in both fights.

Fighters don't train with the same intensity when they don't have a fight scheduled, everybody knows that. Bute and Bika were not involved in a tournament where they had to face worldclass opposition back to back. Now that Ward is finally free after 2 years I'm not gonna blame him for waiting a little before committing to anything. I wanna see him fight Bute right now but who signs a contract 2 days after a fight? (other than Froch who has nothing to lose)

Yes they talked in 2007 for an eliminator for a shot at the IBF belt and another one in 2009 just before the S6 was announced.

And if as you said they talk for a long time, same kind of talk could have been made with Ward and as you can see, this kind of deal would not have happened with Ward: 50/50 two fights, one home, one away...

If Ward doesn't train as hard for an easy fight then for the final of the S6 then his not a dedicated athlete , and i will be surprise it's the case.

You don't just train for one fight , you train for the rest of your career. Let's say you practice a specific shot or counter for one specific opponent , that startegy wont disapear after that fight!
