Crazy fight. Why quote that paper? It only had Ward winning by a few rounds, it had Khan winning by about six. Why does Froch now have to go on the road? Garbage. Froch is exhausted and fighting Bute in Canada in April is stupid. Froch needs a break. A Bute fight in April means that he goes back in the gym in three weeks. Why would anybody write that without asking why? That is brave, brave promoting. Very, very angry with this.
    Adios.

Froch been on Sky Sports News today talking about a possible two fight deal. Eddie Hearn confirmed it's being discussed.

Its a good point , but Froch also has heavy hands , while not an out and out puncher he has enough to keep Bute thinking , and Bute has been hurt .

Bute is tee'ing off on lesser opposition , i dont see him having everything his own way with Froch to the extent Froch becomes helpless , and i dont see Bute taking Froch out with a single shot , he's not that type of puncher , but not alltogether impossible ofcourse

The point you make of Bute landing clean , solid shots from odd angles is a good one , something Froch will have to filter into his tactical application

Froch got troubles with guys that had fast hands and good movement.
Bute has amazing body and head movement the he also use it for feints.
Bute also has amazing body-shots, you know those kind of body punches made Froch lose the Kessler fight... so he said.

Like it matters, he loses anyway. Just get it over and done with. Froch has to go on the road cause no one in the UK gives two shits about him.

I see Froch having the same problems as he did the other night, main difference being the way in which he's dismantled and the punishment he takes. He can't deal with the speed.

Bute is simply far too quick, has great head and upper body movement which makes him hard to tag cleanly. He's not going to mess Froch around on the inside like Ward did but he'll dismantle him all the same. Froch isn't the type of fighter to walk through punches Andrade style as he always claims he will. He tries to box first and when that inevitably fails he just gets desperate and throws amateur shots off balance that have no hope of connecting. It's not like he's a good brawler or pressure fighter, he might be wild, strong and have a good hin but that doesn't automatically make him a good brawler. When exchanging his opponent always beats him to the punch with speed and better technique.

    Bute takes him apart.

I don't give a toss what has been said - it's a tough, tough fight and Froch needs an easier touch. Fact.

Whats the point in Froch fighting a bum Bunce? He's 34 years old and been involved in huge fights, he won't get up for fighting a no mark. Pointless. He should have this fight, if he wins all well and good, if he comes up short retire. Make more good money in the process.

I agree with you Bunce but with Frochs self belief,he truely believes he can go into Butes home town and win in April.I think he deserves an easier fight at home but would he be motivated,we don`t` want him to look bad against an average fighter then again if he got dominated by Bute next where would that leave him.His next move needs to be spot on,i hope Eddie gets it right.

Don't agree. This has become the norm these days but that doesn't make it ok. If the fans are expected to pay to watch then they have every right to expect value and not a soft touch. We have to put up with it while these guys are learning the trade (usually for their first 25 fights these days) so once they get to the top they should be fighting top level opponents. Froch clearly sees it that way too so let him get on with it.

Whatever you think about Froch as a boxer, you can't question his heart or his courage. The man is a warrior :happy

    quote -

"Carl Froch's consolation for losing the Super Six final and with it his WBC super-middleweight title will be two hugely enriching fights next year against IBF belt-holder Lucian Bute.

The second of those two opportunities to re-establish himself quickly as a world champion will also enable Froch to fulfil his ambition of fighting in his beloved Nottingham Forest's football stadium."

that almost sounds like the first fight would be a non-title affair...the way it's worded.

anyone shed any light on that ?

And that is why modern Boxing is so ****ed up. The motto after a loss is to step down and win 3 fights against bums..............BORING
