So when was I supposed to be impressed by Carl Froch?

WHy not just appreciate?

 

Maybe impressed by his warrior heart? His technique is hideous.

 

I don't think he did either, but he has it as a W on his record, I don't think it was as one sided as people make out either, and Dirrell is a top level operator. There's no way Froch is a C+ fighter though. :rasta

Ward beat Froch fair and square mate. Froch was confused in there. Before the fight I was on the fence as far as who to root for. I liked both fighters. But going into the fight, I sarted to lose respect for Froch and his brash behavior and found myself wanting Ward school Froch.

After the fight I found myself giving Froch credit for his toughness ( that I already knew he had ) but above all his lack of excuse making. He demonstrated that he is an honest fighter and realized there is more to learn in this fight game. I truely do hope he can bounce back and learn some more trick and moves in the gym. And who knows, maybe down the line we can get a rematch. :good

I do think Froch has the mental fortitude to not let this loss get the better of him. We havn't seen the last of the Cobra.

 

That's why I reserved my praise after that Abraham win.

 

Taylor is /was a talented fighter , there's no shame in what went down in that fight , not for Froch or Taylor , it was a very well contested fight which ended in a KO , thats all there really is too it

 

First, I said "if Bute puts Carl in trouble", not "when". What exactly tells you I'm "certain" he'll hurt Froch?

Second, I never said Froch was a C+ fighter. I don't know why you're bringing that up quoting my post.

 

Cant believe people are mugging him off, he will be back to prove the doubghters wrong, just read on sky news Nathan Cleverly is interesterd at a fight at light heavyweight and who said froch was running out of fights. :yep

 

You may not like Froch's skills but how can you question his heart and desire?

Despite his limitations he has gone after the best in his division and turns up for war everytime. Of course he has lost along the way, but so what, it's not like anyone was calling him the second coming of Ray Robinson is it.

Maybe he should have just gone for the vacant WBO strap and defended that for the next 10 years against the Branko Sobots of the boxing world, as **** like that actually seems to impress people more than fighting the best.

 

If you're not impressed by Froch himself - how can you not be impressed by the schedule he's had over the past 3 years. Name another Super Middleweight that had a 3 year fight schedule like Froch and he's only had 2 loses in those 7-8 fights. I'm truly impressed that he took the fights he took and never complained about his schedule. He lost to Kessler - who only lost to Ward since Joe C. - and to the man that beat the man that beat him. I give that man much props for what he did.

At the end of the day. Only Froch himself are to blame for the 2 L's. He could've stopped Mikkel Kessler (And being the first man ever to do) And won against Ward, if he listened to Robert Mccracken :bbb
