:good He's a guy who can score great highlight reel knockouts with his quick sudden equalizers, but he'll never be in a bell to bell thriller.

Is there a Ward-Bute poll? Never mind. Found it.

Not a chance. Bute wouldn't beat Froch or Kessler or Abraham

Neither are Kessler or AA. :huh

Based on that they are all better and tougher fighters than he is.

Bute doesn't have a long reach. It's only 72." Ward's is even shorter, at 70" IIRC, but Bute is like 74 1/2" and still could connect on Ward.

Granted, Bute is a little bit faster than froch, (who isn't?) but NOT "much much much quicker." In fact, as fighters go, Bute is slow.

I don't see him having any chance against Ward. Not because Ward is great, but because Bute 'aint ****, and Ward has spectacular defense. It will be a painfully boring fight, and a UD for Ward. This one isn't even in doubt.

    Tougher, OK maybe.

Froch and Kessler are undeniably durable, while some questions still linger about how well Bute takes a big shot - and Abraham's punch resistance is unimpeachable after carrying on with a shattered jaw...

Better fighters, though? Kessler in his prime was...Froch might be at present...Abraham definitely isn't close, in fact he isn't half as good as Bute.

Other than maintain a turtle shell for 36 minutes straight without getting arm cramps, what does Abraham do better in the ring than Bute exactly? :huh

If Andrade can catch Bute, Abraham might and while Ward gets alot of flack for his chin, if Abraham connects on Bute, I don't think Bute would fair well. Not saying Abraham wins because Abraham is def a lesser fighter, but all it takes is one punch in the later rounds and Bute's future goes bye bye.

Here we go again, not understanding the mans skills. I said it before and Ill say it again, Bute can box and Ward is no shue in to win if they fought. Its a 50/50 proposition.

Bute is too fast and tricky for Ward to dominate. I think that based on skill level it is a 50/50 fight with the wildcatd being on one side Ward's spoiling game and on the other Bute's one punch knockout power at the elite level.
All in all I see Ward being way less active than he was against Froch as he gets countered by Bute, and if he is not careful he can easily get dropped and/or stopped in this fight. Ward's best chance is to delay this fight by two years until Bute starts to slow down with age.

    4 times i believe

Clean punches from Berrio, Bika, Zuniga, Miranda, Johnson didn't hurt Bute at all, if his chin is terrible then so is Ali's since sub 190'ers dropped him.

Rematches don't matter, Lennox, SRL, SRR are all garbage fighters since Rahman, Basilio, Duran beat them.

watch Bute-Berrio, that fight is exciting from start to finish with lots of exchanges and clean shots landed by both guys.
