Ward is better than Calzaghe, would beat Calzaghe, and will soon be the #1 SMW ever.

Ward wouldn`t be able to keep up with Calzaghe`s pressure, he`d be outpointed, lets not act as if beating Froch comfortably is something anyone with any sense wouldn`t expect Calzaghe to do.

Calzaghe was an awkward but great fighter, lets not let personal dislike cloud sensible judgement & let Ward show us more before saying he would beat a superb fighter like Joe Calzaghe... the greatest SMW ever & best British fighter of the last 30 years probably.

Ward resume is already better then Calzaghe resumes that's for sure. Calzaghe best win at smw is against Kessler who Ward also easily beat. And i want to make something clear how can Kessler be past his prime against Ward when he easily was the favorite to win the supersix tournament? And beat Froch right after losing to Ward? Does people really know what "prime" really means? Kessler wasnt destroyed by Calzaghe at all.

No Kessler didnt. Kessler spoke before the fight and said he didnt know where the rumours came from and said after there was no problem, still you forget Calzaghe fought many times injured

Calzaghes "greatest SMW" thing is horsehit

The SMW dividion is a very short term division that sucked, anyone decent moved on and out of it (jones toney etc)

    others just jumped it (bhop)

Joe and Sven sticking around for a bunch of over the hill not top level level fighters is nothing to be proud of

Be sure that Ward wont stick around in there fighting trash year in year out to get 50
    garbage wins

    for what

I hope he does what the frauds ottke and Joe didnt do

    TAKE CHALLENGES

    and tests himself

You must have only started watching boxing about 10 years ago :patsch.
Calzaghe beat Eubank and beat Kessler when Kessler was undefeated. Ward doesnt have a win as good as Eubank or undefeated Kessler.
Froch isnt as good a win as Lacy, Mitchell, Reid

Jones spent more time at SMW than MW, and Toney spent more time at SMW than MW or LHW before Toney went into the deep CW division .
You really dont know what you are going on about :-(.
As for Jones, when he went to LHW did he fight Michalczewski? NO, he didnt fight McCallum or Hill until they had lost to Tiozzo and Michalczewski respectively

So let me get this straight, you CANNOT say any active fighter is close to greatness in his division, in case he loses future fights?

So hypothetically if a guy comes along, unifies a historically-weak division within a couple of years, dominates everyone there is, and is still only 28, no-one can say he is one of the best ever in that division in case he loses some fights in the future?

    Conclusion to this: :nut
