Prime Calzaghe vs. Prime Eubank at 160? No that's unfair on Joe, Eubank... too easy.

At 168, Prime Eubank vs. Prime Calzaghe?

Eubank, Collins and Benn never beat Calzaghe. Watson makes it interesting but Calzaghes work rate and bombing his full guard seals the deal.

Love your Froch analysis in the other threads achilles, so spot on its frightening!
However, have to disagree about Calzaghe beating Eubank... a faded dead at the weight Eubank took Calzaghe to hell & back, can you imagine what a young strutting Eubank with unbeaten arrogance would have done to Joe?

Beat him, thats what he would have done;)

If you're taking that angle you must also consider that it was hardly a prime Calzaghe in there. It could be argued his prime was a decade later.

I have Calzaghe, regardless of Eubank giving a good account of himself in the actual fight they had. I don't see how Eubank is going to stop the advantage in workrate which Calzaghe brings from taking over in the latter half of the fight. Eubanks right hand could definitely drop Calzaghe when in Eubanks prime, in fact I think it would do tbh, but I don't see a stppage.

the eubank that beat benn would beat calzaghe , eubank has much better skills although its the workrate that troubles eubank

eubanks workrate vs benn 1 would win him the fight though
