Ward was involved in a tournament leaving the number 2 of the division on the sideline. The "he has to face one of the others before facing me" looks a bit strange to me.

I'd like you to explain why Ward needs to rest. He fought twice a year, that's not much. He hasn't been involved in wars because he dominated his fights. Why the rest? That's a BS excuse. Try to find something more intelligent, like: he wants Bute to be have a higher profile for both to make more money.

 

Money talks... Showtime purses where ridiculous for the S6. They couldn't afford Bute (already IBF champ). So they didn't bother inviting him.

If Ward want to stay in Oakland... and fight in front of 2000 people for peanuts, fine with me also.
