Is this the worst beating a future ATG has ever taken?

    I can't think of an ATG taking such a beating by such a lesser boxer to my mind.

    Can anybody else think of such a legend being so routinely destroyed by a gatekeeper/journeyman.

    Many ATGs have taken beatings early in their careers. Corrie Sanders is more than a gatekeeper/journeyman, he was a contender / short time beltholder.

    I doubt that Wlad will become an ATG though. No great wins on his record, because there's no great opposition in the division (except for his bro). HOF for sure, but no ATG

    Holmes is one of the best heavyweights ever too imo. He's hardly a subpar boxer. my point was an ATG taking a beating off of a very average boxer.

    Most ATGs lose

    Its how they respond to the losses which makes them great

    Wlad has paid his dues, learnt his lessons and is now dominating

    I agree with this, I'm not slandering Wlad for losing, I'd just like some other comparable examples.
