    pac is a 154 champ

why win the title if your scared of taking on challenges

anyway, martinez is getting old, and is just trying to get the biggest paydays he can before he retires

I agree with pretty much everything you posted there, been saying it for a while. He's not worthy of #3P4P. Williams was a great win, no one's disputing that. Alcoholic Pavlik was a decent win. Dzinziruk was an ageing, stay-at-home, padded record junior Middleweight, don't care what anyone says. Not even going to mention Barker.

Sergio Martinez is a good, good fighter. #3P4P, he isn't.

because that was a one off fight to just add anothet belt. i dont agree with it, but he is not a 154 fighter. and neither is martinez.

if Martinez is calling out pac to fight at 154, why doesnt he fight one of the other very credible fighters at 154?

Floyd and Pac are so called p4p fighters,#1 and 2, yet they make fraudulent excuses about why they cannot move up again to a weight they fought before, to 150, 3 ****ing pounds north of 147 to make a fight with a p4p neighbor possible while they continue to duck eachother and refuse to fight the best in their own weight class. 150, 154 was fine when they fought lesser competition at that weight so why not Maravilla? whats the excuse other than him being just too good and Pac/Floyd being scared like chickens?

    :patsch

the bottom line is that Martinez is a Middleweight! pacquiao is a welterweight! its not a difference of just 3 pounds.

why doesnt he just fight dirrell? im sure he could make 164/165. martinez would only have to move 5 pounds north. yet he will NEVER call out a super middlweight.

All I can say is, yeah, the guy is full of ****. But, of course he is. He's got a young man's style, couldn't capitalize on his talent until way late in his career, already in his late thirties and he has an opportunity to live as a rich man the rest of his life, if he scores a PPV with Pac or Mayweather and he's got excellent chances at beating both and becoming one of the most famous Argentinian boxers in history. And for what? For playing up a bunch of bull**** in the media? Hell, of course he's playing it up. Look what he might have to gain from it. Even though, I doubt it will happen for either fighter, he's still got a chance. He's got to cash out, here. It's a smart thing. He's using the business, instead of having it use him.

    thats fair enough.

but us as fans should not buy into it and give him the p4p number 3 ranking

Moral of this story is he wants to be the man(ppv king or atleast the big money fights before he retires)and to be the man you got to beat the man or men in this case which is Floyd and Pac only credible wait he can fight them at is 154 seeing they were both belt holders there although pac fought at a catchweight but yall get the point and if not o well leave the man alone

    Welterweight 147lbs
Maravilla says hes willing to go down to 150
    now thats 3lbs
Middleweight is 160, Martinez is also willing to fight bigger opponents at 160 such as Pavlik or Williams. If he happens to fight Chavez jr he'll likely get outweighted by around 15 pounds too, same he'd outweight Floyd or Pac at the absolute maximum. Maravilla was 164 in the ring against Barker. Floyd was fine with Ortiz coming in at 164, Pac was fine with Margarito coming in at 164lbs too, so whats the problem?
A further move to 168lbs would mean that he has to add muscles and that would void to plan of beating up the ducker disgraces Floy and Pac for old Martinez since it wouldn't be possible to reduce the weight again to such a degree while training and fighting. Once he beat them up, i agree that he then should move up to fight Andre Ward at 168

Martinez is wasting a lot of energy trying to get this mega-fight. He's gone from praising Manny to downright disrespecting him and it's blatant at this point. Too many guys at middleweight that he could take on in the next year or two and cement his legacy. It would also be a good idea for him to get off his lazy ass and learn english, so he can possibly do more in boxing after his career is done.
