Ward would take care of Dirrell.Ward would find a way to make Dirrell quit & he would take it. Dirrell though talented & quick just isn't mentally strong enough at the highest level.
Fair enough but I thought he forced the fight plenty, he just lacked the nous against a guy who wasn't coming straight at him. Ward would eat him alive
Degale is high on my list too as far as inherant skill, talent and ability go hes one of the best i've seen, but his form and execution are horrible, he needs world class training, sparring and corner
This is a great post. Dirrell is faster than Ward while Ward is quicker. The difference is in the mindset. Team Ward particularly impressive trainer Virgil Hill know Dirrell's strengths. Team Dirrell particularly Andre's grandfather know Wards attributes. This show down reminds me of Olympic gold medal winner Frank Tate vs Michael the Silk Olajide. It won't be easy but at this stage I would favour Ward. The guys know each other very well from their amateur days and it would be an absolute ******* especially as they are friends as well. Reminds me of Simon Brown and Maurice Blocker who were as close as brothers.
DeGale is a punk in my opinion and vastly overrated in his own mind and Jim McDonell's. Whilst professional fighters like Ward learned their trade properly this guy thinks he has arrived because he won Olympic gold. He needs to take a leaf out of George Groves methods. Groves has been sparring with guys who are better than him at this early stages like Andre Dirrell, Anthony Dirrelll, Carl Froch etc in order to develop into the fighter he is becoming. Make no mistake about it there is a reason he beat DeGale in the amateurs and in their first profession contest and he will beat him again when they meet and this time stop DeGale.
Andre Dirrells glass heart will see that he doesnt take this fight, and even if he did, he'd quit/lose miserably by UD. He's a punk beyatch.
You don't know the difference? He's spot on. Speed is in the body, quickness is in the mind. Dirrell is faster in the body. Ward is quicker in the mind. Another example. Meldrick Taylor was faster than Pete Whitaker, but Whitaker was quicker in the mind.
