Is this the worst beating a future ATG has ever taken?

Nah, Wlad/Sanders is just what would have happened if Lewis had the balls to get up from the first knockdown. He wasn't hurt...he just saw the Atomic Ball and Steward in the other corner and realized he had no chance to continue. Wlad took his beating like a man, Lewis deliberately waited till 10 than protested the count...putting on a show, posing for the cameras. He was scared shitless.

    :yep

    To answer the question.

No ATG Champion ever dropped the title in such onesided brutal shocking fashion....to a lesser fighter and large underdog.

Sanders was no bum as can be seen from the above clips. Against anybody ever in the sport he would give them hell for the first 3 rounds at the very least. You only have to watch his fights against the 3 best opponents he faced to know this.

Vs Rahman a real see-saw battle that could have gone either way. Rahman picking himself up of the canvas to score the TKO while behind on points. Rahman would KO a prime Lewis in his next fight. This is one of the most underrated heavyweight fights out there.

Vs Wlad. Stunning KO over an ATG. This was no fluke, like I've said before Sanders was dangerous against anybody during the early rounds.

Vs Vitali. Again another fantastic performance against another ATG. Some say nobody has looked as good against Vitali as Sanders did during the opening 6 rounds.

Vs defensive Wizard Micheal Sprott in his prime. Boom! Ko'd inside 50 seconds.

Sanders is clearly no bum. It's just a pity that he only got his big fights at the end of his career.

Joe Louis took quite a beating from Max Schmeling in their first fight, worse than the abbreviated battering Wlad took from Sanders.
Louis came back quite nicely I'd say.

    Tyson Vs Douglas.

That was a sustained beating by an average fighter.

You could even argue wlad was winning till he got stunned and never recovered.

Tyson took a beating all night long

Interesting to bring that up here...Sanders certainly looks better than Douglas if their second and third best fights are compared.

he fought 20 odd times in his 1st 2 years as a pro prob has something to do with that..he was very very active when he 1st started off and walking through people hence he was a knockout waiting to happen..his mangment team back then sucked if you ask me.and i think his future will be cut short because of it..
