Which is the biggest challenge for Andre Ward right now?

Threats are always based on perception.

But Bute just makes the most sense. It doesn't have to be his very next fight, but Ward should fight Bute.

It's sad how Pascal is so criminally underrated because he lost to one of the best and most experienced fighters who have competed in the last 20 years and one that know all the tricks in the book.

Not only this but Pascal legitimately knocked Hopkins down, the first fighter to do so in over a decade I believe.

  3. Chad Dawson

Dawson is way too big for Ward how is that even a serious suggestion?

Pretty happy you start doing interesting stuff.

On the subject, Ward did beat Kessler and at the time he was a green prospect beating the no. 1 of the division. So, it's true Bute didnt show his skills vs. elite of the division yet. But to think that he cant do it because he didnt yet is not realistic.

Bute might be the most interesting fight that makes the most sense.
But it definitely isn't the biggest challenge for Ward (which is, IMO, Dawson).

The fight I'd like to see most though is in fact Ward vs Bute.

I didnt pick any one to be his biggest challenge! Reason? He didn't impress me at all. He was alright up to around the sixth rd. I even thought he could KO Froch in the 9th rd. but something about his style, his aggression, or lack of it, his lack of use of straight right hands( that would of done alot of damage) tells me that he doesn't have that killer instinct. The ref was letting them bang real nice up against the ropes, but he wasn't letting his punches go. Plus he keeps his legs too far apart to land any real effective shots. His jabs were thrown too long when in close quarters. Could of just thrown some short jabs followed by straight rights or right crosses and he would of looked better. I wasn't impressed. I believe he got the victory because Froch was less aggressive than even he was.

Theres one guy who stands out the most.

Andre Direll. How would he score against a guy who will hit and run the entire fight, with twice the hand speed????

The speed will bother him. He's been fortunate in the tournament to not face a true speedster.

Instead of grabbing to smother counter punche hell have to grab him to keep em still.

I think if Direll could keep the nerve not to quit for a full 12. All he has to do is what he does best. Not fight.:hi:

    Most interesting fight.
    Toughest fight probably be Chad.

To anyone who says Bute never beat an elite fighter, how many elite fighters did Dawson beat?

I want Ward to fight Bute next to really become the undisputed SWM champion before he thinks about moving up.
