and only idiots believe a hype that is yet to be proven.

No, im expecting him to fight a lot of bums, and be treated just like what he is: a bumkiller, until he steps up to the plate and fights someone who makes him deserve the hype he gets, something he hasn't done yet.

Yet he is a champion who still needs tune up fights and a mockery for the title and the true contenders

has ever crossed through your feeble mind that somebody could dislike BOTH Canelo and Cotto? They both suck, eventhough Cotto is better

Yeah, sucker punching a dude from 10 divisions below is undoubtly a very manly thing to do. I bet you punch girls in your spare time, like the tough guy you are.

but there's nothing enjoyable about the way Canelo fights. He's a slow as **** slugger, with mediocre skills and crappy defense, a stiff always trying to land big shots and capitalize on his punching power.

Yet here we have him saying he wants to be the next Muhamad Ali, challenging the likes of Marquez and Mayweather, knowing they arent going to fight him anytime soon because he doesn't deserve it.

And yet we have people like Chavez Sr, with no amateur background at all, but still, you could see they had something special from the beginning. Canelo is not special. Although he might have the potential to be a dominant champ at least in his current division, because there's really not much competition there.

    Yes, dead serious.

Matthew Hatton at 154...****ing hell  Every one of Cotto's opponents was more dangerous than him. We'll see if Cintron goes on to grab some decent victories the way Bailey did (who was also a more dangerous puncher at 140 than Cintron at 154). And Ryan Rhodes was no better than Corley at all, who had just lost a SD to Judah and had Mayweather in momentary trouble.

He is very talented. No doubt about that. But like Locard wrote, its a mockery that he doesn't fight real contenders.

Chavez and him, shouldn't be in posession of "world" titles at the moment.

Well I'm not comparing him to anyone. I'm not happy with the comp he's faced, it's not what a champ should be fighting regardless of what Cotto has done.

forget about Cotto just look at Canelo and don't compare him to anyone. Does he deserve the Title? No, not just yet. Has he defended that title against top level opposition? No, not yet.

I'm hoping he'll show us all that he deserves that strap sometime next year by fighting one of the top fighter in the division. Don't get me wrong,I like the kid, he does have potential I just can't support the way they're bringing him up the ranks.

Kelson Pinto was nobody and didn't do **** before or after Cotto.
Randall bailey hasn't done **** after before or after Cotto and hasn't won **** that is worthy of even being considered for a title.
Demarcus Corley was outweighed 17 pounds and hasn't done ****, and is feather fisted.
Muhammed Abdullaev hasn't done **** before or after Cotto.

Cotto won his first title which was vacant against who?

Then in his first fight fought who?

Atleast Alvarez is younger and taking on guys a notch above the fighters Cotto fought his first year as a titlist.

Gomez and Cintron and better than any win Cotto had his first year with the WBO strap.

That's not my point man...I'm just trying to create balance...He's hated because he got a gift strap, so ****ing what? He's defended it better than other current titlists....How many fighters get gift straps anyway? But Canelos gets more hate for some reason.

I'm just pointing out that Canelos deserved more props, then comparing him to Chavez, or him being written off for doing the same thing many fighters do..I'm trying to figure out why the hate for him?

    Cotto's fights at 154.

    Yuri Foreman
    Shot Ricardo Mayorga
    One-eyed Antonio Margarito

he's a champ there, but he's three fights there are whack...as whack as canelo's.

So you think Cotto is also making a mockery out of his title?

Isal, that's like you saying, " Who is the better scrub? What scub deserves more props? " Forget that, a scrub is a scrub until he proves to use otherwise.

You should save your energy and support for Canelo until he is proven worthy of it. :good

For anyone to condone of a "gift strap", just goes to show how bull**** titles are.

No one is condoning it, not that i'm aware of it...

All I'm saying is that considering we all know it's a bull**** title, and he is only 21, and at that age is fighting higher claibre fighters than other champions did at the commencement of their reign, I think it's fair to say, he is an extremely good prospect and the hate, expectations, and criticism he gets isn't just, it's hate.

    Just adding balance, is all.

canelo is a ****ing hype job ! He will sooner or later have to face a legitimate contender and then we will see that he is a limited plodding slugger with poor stamina and pis poor concentration ! Any legitimate ranked contender in his division will kick his over hyped ****ing ass ! Watch the guy. does he fight like a world champion ? No , because he is not a world cahampion ! the belt is a gift from jose sulaimon and golden boy! another example of the bull**** politics and corruption in boxing these days ! canelo fights Hatton . while neither one is a legitimate contender for the title, meanwhile the true contenders who fought to earn the shot and actually deserve it get ****ed over by senor jose and oscar !
